mwr Report post Posted March 28 (edited) My prior 2015 FFH had no provision for Android Auto, but I understand that my current 2017 FFH does. I'd like to explore using it with my Samsung S22 phone. And I'd like to have my phone connect without a wire or cable. What's the best way to do that? Edited March 28 by mwr
2014FordFusionSE Report post Posted March 28 I'd start here: https://www.ford.com/support/how-tos/sync/getting-started-with-sync/android-auto-frequently-asked-questions/ If you have Sync 3, you need a cable. If you have Sync 4, it supports wireless.

Waldo Report post Posted March 28 You have Sync 3.
mwr Report post Posted March 28 Is there an aftermarket solution that allows Sync 3 to support wireless Android Auto?

That same tool is on the site of aawireless, and my 2017 FFH "passed" the test. Edited March 29 by mwr
mwr Report post Posted June 10 Yesterday I ordered "Wireless Android Auto Dongle - Connects Automatically to Android Auto" from Amazon. Supposed to arrive in about a week. I'll let you know what happens after it arrives.
mwr Report post Posted June 14 It arrived today and I successfully installed it, by following the instructions in their app I downloaded to my phone. Wireless aside, this is the first time I've used Android Auto and it's not doing what I thought it would do. Instead of discussing that here, I'll find an Android Auto forum for that. Cobra348 Report post Posted June 15 If it sort of took over everything, then that's why I don't use it. His description of what it does sort of turned me away from it.
