Jaclark2000 Report post Posted November 12, 2023 I have a 2019 Fusion Hybrid 2.0 engine with 28k miles. I’ve heard about a lot of issues with coolant intrusion on the 2.0 eco boost. When I looked up the TSB 22-2229, my Fusion model was listed. Does anyone know if there are any known issues with this in the Fusion Hybrid? After doing some research I was able to determine the engine blocks that failed were the “Cleveland” variant, and the upgraded block has a VEP designation supposedly meaning it comes from Spain. My Hybrid engine has CHEP on the sticker, supposedly designating that it is from the Chihuahua engine plant. Is this a different or upgraded block, or am I prone to the same issues of the Clev 2.0 eco boost issues. Thanks jeff
billford Report post Posted November 18, 2023 Don't worry about it or overthink it. Nothing goes wrong with these engines except for the odd oil seepages.
