VILSIS Report post Posted November 7, 2020 I have a 2018 FFH Titanium with only 6,317 miles. My first oil change was by 2,158 miles (THE WORKS by my FORD Dealer), the second by 4,747 miles also THE WORKS. Always after 12 months. They but both times Motorcraft Motoroil X0-5W20-BSP in the engine. I found in my Owner's Manual I should have Motoroil X0-0W20-QSP in my engine. I mean a FORD Dealer should know wich Motoroil I need and but them in my engine. Now I have two question: 1.) Is it OK with the Motorcraft Motoroil X0-5W20-BSP in the engine? 2.) Can I drive the FFH until the Oil Change Indicator ask for a Oil change, or I should very 12 months change the Motoroil? Thanks for your advice. murphy Report post Posted November 7, 2020 The specs for a Fusion Hybrid are 10,000 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first. My 2013 Fusion Energi specifies 5W-20.
eisbaer Report post Posted November 8, 2020 unless you are changing it yourself 5w20 0w20 i wouldnt worry about it. difference is negligible. when the dash says change the oil, change the oil

Since I had purchased my car used in April, I have done one oil change. Fairly straight forward but the bucket I drain the oil into was left in the garage for about 1 month. I usually pour it back into a oil container to take to the recyclers but this time i got side tracked. After emptying the bucket the other day I noticed a nice sludge had formed at the bottom of the bucket. So my reminder is set to 100% of the oil lifetime. I think Im going to look at where the % is at currently and what options are available for the setting and change the oil again let it sit and choose a more frequent option in the settings. Just an fyi from my personal experience

devon Report post Posted December 10, 2020 I want to throw this in here I own a 2018 and it just hit 12k miles I don't drive as much as I should and was getting some light brown sludge build up on the oil cap so I switched to a good quality synthetic (Pennzoil Platinum 0w20)and give it at least a 10 mile drive a week to burn all that stuff off and haven't seen anymore brown sludge on the oil cap.
