escort2fusion Report post Posted April 7, 2008 Hey, the other day I put a CD in and it spit it back out saying bad CD, it had worked before so I put the CD back in and it played fine, but once that happened I could not change the volume up or down. After my drive I parked the car, the next time I went for a drive it worked fine and has been working for the last couple days, any one else had this problem? I was going to take it in to get fixed but now it’s working, anyone else had any similar issues, and did they come back? I had my iPod playing, I turned off the engine but left the ignition on, unloaded some items from the trunk then hopped back in and started the car and drove off - the music was playing all that time. When I pressed the Sync button nothing happened. I pressed it a few more times and still nothing. Then the music stuttered and stopped. I tried few radio on/off cycles and switching inputs but it seemed only some items responded. After about ten seconds the music from the iPod kicked in where it left off and the Sync responded again. I think it's either identical or similar to the CD6 in the Fusion. Do you also get CDs skipping sometimes, randomly, too? Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
escort2fusion Report post Posted April 8, 2008 I have a 2007 Fusion SE, so as far as I know I have a 1 CD changer and no Sync. Not sure what caused any of these problems but sounds like they have some bugs to work out. Oh well I will keep an ear on it and if it happens again I will bring it in. As for CD skipping I have not had a problem with skipping, but sometimes I put a CD in and it says 'bad disk' and ejects, I put it right back in and it works fine, but some of my CD's are a bit scratched up I am sure that does not help.
