Back hatch won't unlock and "System off to save battery"

Recommended Posts

Every time we get in the car the screen says "System off to save battery" This started happening after my girl friend had her car in to the FORD shop to have the battery checked.

Also we've been having issues unlocking the hatch with the key or using the button on the door. Seems like the only way to unlock the hatch now is to start the car and than push the unlock button.

I haven't had time to take it back to the dealer. It's just to much of a pain and they usually don't seem to listen to what the issue is when I tell them.

It is a 2013 Ford C-Max

Is it the original 12 volt battery? If it is replace it. That warning is an indication that the battery voltage is getting too low. Is the car driven every day? If it sits for a week at a time that will discharge the 12 volt battery into the warning area.
