rhandrew Report post Posted March 9, 2017 I know everyone does this differently, but I track my mileage by resetting trip 2 each time I get a fill up. Then I have the overall MPG on trip 1 and this tank on trip 2. Discovered on my 2016 FFH that at 10K, my trip 1 automatically reset itself to zero. WTF! Why does it do that?? Well, anyway, at the 10K mark I was at 45mpg. Now at least I can add 10K to whatever the mileage is now on trip 1 and do some weighted averaging to compute overall MPG. Life is so complicated!! Timewellspent Report post Posted March 9, 2017 I do this exact same thing. For whatever reason there isn't enough digits for the trip mileage. Same thing happens for EV miles and kWh on my Energi.

BobDoes it erase / reset all the trip 1 data, or just the distance? I.e. does it still keep computing just with an incorrect distance displayed? It doesn't erase, it just rolls over due to not enough digits on the display.
Cobra348 Report post Posted March 9, 2017 On my '17 the odometer is displayed at the bottom of the left screen. Seems to me it should be there on a '16 - I recall it was there on my prior HyTi. I simply reset the trip meters each fill, using those miles and the gas receipt gallons & cost to do the calcs. Did not realize the trip s rollover at all ... never ran them that high!
