johncanfield Report post Posted January 13, 2017 Hey guys, We brought home a brand new '17 Platinum yesterday to replace our Passat TDI we just sold back to VW. We had super nice rubber floor mats and a trunk liner in the Passat (optional) and just ordered the Ford OEM front mats. Is anybody aware of a Ford cargo liner out there? Any aftermarket versions? I've looked around and I can't find any that are for a 2017 hybrid and I have no idea how many model years backwards compatible the 2017 model is. TIA - John

(Am I dreaming someone might actually benefit?). Forgive my dry wit.. A Study of 2017 FFH Floor Mat Options A Gallery comparing Ford standard, $120 Ford Rubber Mats (optional), and some nice mats I got from WeatherTech.com The only trunk liner to consider (and the only one available for the Hybrid outside of Ford?) from WeatherTech.com. $89.95 (without coupons, tax, etc). 2 Frank F and johncanfield reacted to this
Cobra348 Report post Posted January 13, 2017 I'd go with the WeatherTech item. While I didn't get it for the trunk, I do have their in-track wind deflectors and the floor mats. Good products. 1 johncanfield reacted to this
johncanfield Report post Posted January 14, 2017 Arg. I've already ordered the Ford front mats, I wasn't sure if the after-market mats were any good. When this Ford set wears out or annoys me enough, I'll go with WeatherTech. Great comparison, you did everybody a great service. I will order the WeatherTech trunk liner, I'm glad somebody makes one for the new Hybrid.
Cobra348 Report post Posted January 14, 2017 I got the laser-cut floor mats. There are short sides to them ... and replace the stock ones. Drivers side snaps right into place. Holds water (and snow and ice) nicely and can be easily removed to simply dump the crud out. My OEM mats are in the garage all wrapped up. Right next to the mobility kit and the OEM rear sway bar. Waldo Report post Posted January 14, 2017 (edited) I have the Weathertech trunk liner in mine but I'm disappointed that the back end curled up and so far my attempts to follow Weathertech's instructions to flatten it out haven't worked. I would recommend pulling out this liner and laying it out in front of the fireplace for an hour (or put it in a bathtub with the hottest water you can get from the water heater. The plastic material should go back to its original shape.
