Read this yesterday... I'm looking forward to seeing them racing. But I am one of the Ferrari faithful, when it comes to F1 anyway.

About time. Of course, every time Ford starts racing, they like beat everyone (Cobra, GT40, etc) and then they get outlawed or crippled so bad they can't compete. Wonder how long it will be this time before Enzo's ghost starts whining and pressuring the committee for rule changes? I am looking forward to seeing them compete. I predict a total domination by Ford. That EcoBoost power is pretty amazing ....

Enzo never whined about anything. No need. Ferrari races because of tradition and the want to compete and win. Mauieizio Arrivabene, current Ferrari F1 Team Principle, said this about Enzo and what was important to him "For Enzo Ferrari the constructors' championship was of greater value then the driver's title." This is something the Ford will never understand. This is why Ford will never have the mystique the Ferrari has. Ford produces a car once in while that has the prominence to be recognized by the international racing community. Ferrari does it every year. Year in, year out. Ford does not have this sense of history.

You sound like a Yankees fans going on about the curse of Babe Ruth against the Red Sox. :) Or a NASCAR fan, the WWE of motorsports, whining about non-US manufactures. (No offense LOL)

Ferrari has most wins in F1 and more than Ford at Le Mans. You can predict total domination but just look at Honda's re-entry into F1. They can barely finish a race. Going back to Ford at Le Mans, you will notice since 69, they have not won, and not competed in the top tier as a factory sponsored team since 74, I believe. The previous Ford GT has raced some of the endurance series, it's not a factory sponsored effort. Ferrari always has a factory sponsored effort. They may not have won, but the are there every year. Year in, year out.

Scuderia Ferrari will always race with factory sponsored teams. Ford racing depends on budget for factory sponsorship. So as interest wanes, factory money goes away.

When Ferrari wins, the bells in the churches of Marnello ring in victory. The reason, tradition, pride and history. Does the same thing happen in Detroit when Ford wins a race? Nope....

Look what happen to Ford/Cosworth in F1. They are out and have been for a quite a few years. Why? No money invested in development. No wins in the modern era. The Ford GT will be no different. Unfortunately.
