Third chrome bar in lower fascia

Recommended Posts

Just finished with my latest mod...lower fascia now matches upper grille. :camera:

Hey Double Vision, that looks great! I LOVE the hood, BTW...didn't get a chance to comment wen you first posted it...

I haven't done anything w/ my two Fusions besides put the license plates on them...well, not quite true...I did have the windows tinted. I went back and forth over the tint for the front two because California law states no tint at all in the front, so I went with 15%...still looks really good.

Where are you finding all the "goodies" at?

Thanks for sharing!

My Best

Michael

Hello Mike,

The Ford part # for the chrome bar is 6E5Z-8200-C. There is no 'kit' for this mod as you will have to fabricate your own brackets for a proper installation. It is actually the same bar as the one above it just shortened about a 1/2 inch with two self-made hidden brackets for a clean look.

The hood can be found at www.mrt-direct.com

Custom rear spoiler @ www.spoilerdepot.com These spoilers are hand made PER ORDER so it takes about 3-5 weeks to receive it.

www.streetbeatcustoms.com is the only company that I have found that will actually sell 3dCarbon (body enhancement) pieces individually as most will only sell complete packages.

Wheels are OEM 18" Ford Edge specs

Some other 'bling' can be found on E-bay using keyword 'ford fusion'. Some of it is actual OEM stuff that is discounted and other things on there for the Fusion make my eyes hurt. LOL

Hope this helps!!

I had seen a post somewhere that gave step by step instructions and pics of how to do this - was that you and if so could you post those or send them to me? I would appreciate that extremely as I plan to do this. I just purchased an 08 sel sap and I have no idea why they do not come like that already.

Thank you!!!!

Did the price advertised for the hood include color matched paint? Most likely not huh?

is there any way to shave the front badge off?

it appears that the three upper bars are one piece.

i want to shave all the badges off give it a clean look all the way around...maybe do smaller chrome bafges from an older mustang or something.......

any ideas?

Air flow...

I've had this mod done for over a year and there is ZERO issues with air flow. Temp gauge stays in the exact same place it did before the mod. The Fusion isn't considered a 'bottom-feeder' when it comes to air flow so this has no effect on engine cooling

Thanks Double Vision for this idea! Looks great. Texas requires a front plate though, so mine doesn't look as sweet as yours do.

Hello Drive one,

Glad you could make it work for you....looks good. This is the first time I've seen it on this color of Fusion.

Hi,

I was wondering what you used to mount the third chrome lower grill bar? I have mine and I have it sized and everything I am just trying to figure out what the best way to mount it would be.

Thanks,

Jeremy

I will take pictures when I do my install. I just got my extra lower bar in today. It was $65 from the dealer for an additional lower bar. I should have something in a few weeks (they have me working 12's so it may be this weekend or next).

Double Vision did a great write-up on Ford Fusion Club: http://www.fordfusionclub.com/index.php?topic=87941.0

Thanks Mutnat! I apologize to the other members for not answering your questions.. I don't make it by here as much as I used to since the forum changed some of the format. My computer wasn't very accepting of the changes and it's hard for me to navigate throughout the site. My computers age may have something to do with it but works fine on many other sites.
