1) Hello I have a Ford Fusion Hybird 2011 and have a unique problem that seems to be a bit of a mystery. 2) Phone says its connected and can dial a number, but once the number is dialed by SYNC, i cannot hear a thing. 3) Sync says its connected. Turned Bluetooth on/off on both the phone and SYNC. Rebooted Phone. Re-paired the phone. SYNC Master Reset. SYN Module Reset. SYNC Factory Reset. SYNC Key Cycle (several times). 4) Bluetooth Audio NEVER works at the moment though it worked fine last week (as did the phone). It worked fine for almost 2 weeks. 5) Over the weekend, received an alert "Bluetooth Disconnected". Have not been able to re-establish since that time. 6) Have Sony Premium Audio with Navigation and according to Ford's website, I have 4 mini-software updates available for my current software version (point releases) 7) Am hesitant, due to lack of experience, to disconnect the battery, which I've never done before, but I read on google that some folks have gotten success with that. 8) Sync Voice Commands work for everything except BlueTooth Audio. It simply never hears me say "Play". 9) At this point, I'd be just happy if I got the phone to work properly. I have a USB adapter to play my music. 10) Am scheduled to visit the dealer later this week as a last resort. 11) Would like to resolve this before visiting dealership altogether.

Hey guys and gals, Happy New Year!!! My daughter is on her second Ford hybrid (a Maverick) so I thought I would try one. Just got a used 2018 SE with ~80k on it. Quick question on the Sync, when I play the radio, can I make my phone's GPS play over it? I skimmed thru the manual, but it did not seem that was possible. Look forward to learning a lot here, found y'all when I was looking for an answer on the regenerative braking.

i replaced the screen myself after getting a $600 quote from my dealership to fix my blank sync screen on my radio/display it is a sync basic with no touch controls. one of the listed part # i found on ford parts was no longer available but show just as lcd screen. found the other part # on ebay motors as led screen as well (used). after install it works!!! but, my duel climate control does not show up on it. dont know if I need to reload past update or use different lcd. after removed old one which was only 2 years old (had been replaced under warrantee) had different letters on the end of the part number (ES7T-18B955-CA)

Hello, I recently purchased a 2017 FFH. Love the car. Started using CarPlay and it worked great. A couple nights ago I upgraded the SYNC3 from V2.0 to V2.3. It appeared to upgrade fine. Now CarPay does not work. In fact there is no reference to CarPlay in the menus at all, just Android Auto. I've done a reset of the SYNC system, reboot my iPhone, removed the vehicle from my iPhone CarPlay settings. When I plug the phone in, it recognizes the vehicle, and I can select it in settings. However, there is absolutely no indication whatsoever from the SYNC software on the vehicle. Has anyone seen this or have any thoughts on the issue? Thanks, Dave

Looks like the SYNC 3 version 2.3 Update is Out. I can't find any release notes. Has anyone had any luck installing it? Any comments on new features? Sigh.. My Fusion says "SYNC 3, Software Version: 2.0" Build 16074_PRODUCT (from my delivery in December) Of course the Ford owner web site tonight says I was updated yesterday (I wasn't) I did reboot SYNC 3 but still no update (hold the giant Power/Volume button in and [simultaneously] the right seek button for 5 seconds to reboot Sync 3) I'll try the USB update soon.

I just bought a new 2018 Platinum FFH and am loving it. All except for the navigation system. The maps that came on it (manufactured in August 2017) are dated January 2015! I couldn't believe it. We went on its first long road trip to Las Vegas last week and the maps were so old that it thought I was driving on surface streets in areas that had re-done freeways. There is a freeway transition that was moved from the left of the road to the right over two years ago that the map still had on the left. The system was almost useless. Out of curiosity, I logged onto the Here website where you can go to get updated maps and they don't even have map updates for 2017 or 2018 vehicles. Again, I couldn't believe it. The new SYNC 3 system has Android Auto so I hooked it up and was able to use Google Maps which is obviously superior. However using this burns up a lot of cellular data and the USB port doesn't put out enough juice to keep up with the battery drain that Google Maps uses so the phone eventually dies. This is really unacceptable. I paid a lot of money for a navigation system that isn't even as good as a cheap Garmin. Has anyone else had problems with this?

So after some digging, I found out 3.10 was released sometime at the end of last year. SyncMyRide shows 3.8 is the latest which I believe everyone will see that as I believe updates need to be done through the dealer. I decided to give it a shot and after 30 minutes of installing, I had 3.10 loaded. Everything went smoothly and it moved over my navigation favorites and radio presets. I just needed to reconnect my phone. I have a 2014 HyTi which was running 3.8 before the install. I found on the 2GFusions site a download to get the update. From my understanding, someone took the 3.10 files and put it in the 3.8 installer to get it working as at the end, it will say the 3.8 update completed. Rioachim provided the download which I am posting their link here if anyone is interested. As always, do at your own risk as this is not directly from Ford nor did I provide this install. Extract the .zip to a USB formatted FAT32. https://mega.nz/#!d8AVHaTa!E_I-rFibRyRIo...SM3e7Nbeo0 Version SYNC2 - V3.10 Install Source PTS ABOUT THE LATEST UPDATE The new software update for SYNC® with MyFord Touch® systems includes all the improvements from previous updates, plus additional changes to accommodate new and updated customer devices, such as: Hazard switch illuminates on Focus / Escape with ignition off and park lamps onNext Track / Previous Track controls from SYNC touchscreenSYNC Maintaining Repeat / Shuffle settings that were set on the device sideCompatibility updates for the latest phone and media devicesI played around with it and have not noticed any changes which is obvious from the change logs. I was hoping some bug fixes might have fixed the issue I have with activating Siri when listening to my iPod. If I send a text through Siri, it will not pause the song and once done, the right dashboard screen will be blank till you press mute for a second or skip to next song. This was not fixed. The Navigation option on the right dashboard is still buggy so to me it wasn't worth it but if you are having trouble with a new phone, then this might be for you.

I successfully installed the Sync 3.8 update a few weeks ago. I have an iPhone 5S running iOS 9.2 that I have used with my '13 HyTi since I bought the car. Here are some issues I've encountered: * Holding down the voice button on the steering wheel for three seconds will occasionally result in Siri ending instead of starting a session * After successfully connecting to and using Siri via eyes free, my car's audio system connects via Bluetooth to my phone, playing the Sirius app, even though I was not using Bluetooth for audio prior to my Siri eyes free session.. This has resulted in me unknowingly listening to Sirius through my phone instead of the Sirius subscription in my car, and incurring large data usage through my wireless carrier. * After starting my car, pressing the voice button quickly, and then stating, "Services" to access my Sync favorites will result in a message stating that Sync was unable to connect to my iPhone, even though the screen on MFT shows it is connected to my iPhone. Anyone else experiencing issues with v3.8 that did not exist previous to the installation?

I was driving home from about an hour away and the Ford Sync was doing great the ride duration until then. Before it has gone from radio to nothing on and no windows on my right side, door locks in front intermittent and climate control as well. The radio would stop like i pushed the off switch, then the air would go right behind it. Did a master reset when it was on for about 5 minutes. Worked for about 10 minutes after that then continued to flicker. Climate control cluster lights would dim then brighten and go black. Turn back on and repeat process. My iPhone 5s was commected...ran vehicle health report x2 nothing popped up from it. I'm thinking theres a loose connection somewhere? On the 10 min ride en route to my place, it would only kick in when EV mode was running and engine was off. Any other suggestions?

This is kind of an offshoot of another discussion but feel it warrants its own thread. Post here what YOU use for in-car navigation whether it's MFT/MLT-Nav, Google Maps, stand-alone GPS (Tom Tom, Garmin, Magellan - they still around?, etc), other smartphone app.....you get the idea. Please let us know WHAT you use, HOW you use it and WHY you use it. Tell us the advantages, disadvantages, likes, dislikes, etc. Tell us about that one device or app that WE SHOULD ALL BE USING! This should be interesting.....

About two weeks ago, I bought a 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid. It has lots of options, including SYNC with voice-activated navigation, Sony sound system, heated seats, BLIS package, etc. So far, I'm fairly pleased with the car, except for the iPod integration. It's driving me crazy. I've read lots of complaints all over the Internet and tried many fixes. When I got the car, I upgraded the GEN 1 SYNC system the latest software available - 3.2.2 according to syncmyride.com. Here's some of the things I'm dealing with: iPod library of ~7500 songs5th gen iPod Classic (160GB) running latest softwareReindexing every time I start the car (only last maybe 20-30 seconds, but still annoying. Every time?!)Once it's done indexing, sometime it starts playing, other times it takes upwards of 2-3 minutes to start playing where it left offIf I'm shuffling an artist, it leaves off on song x of whatever, then when I come back and start the car, it starts playing that same song, except it's now 1 of whatever, so it's reshufflingI've had it tell me the device isn't supportedI've had it tell me voice commands aren't available on this device.I usually leave the iPod plugged in. It sits in my center console, and I only take it out once in a while to adjust playlists or add songs. The behavior is extremely inconsistent. I've tried the following fixes: Master Reset of SYNCPulling the fuse for SYNCRestoring iPodResetting iPodSlimming iPod down to ~2000 songsI've had decent results with just a USB stick, but I need to spend more time with that to see how it behaves. However, that presents its own issues (library/playlist management, protected content). I'm really fed up with this system. I used aux in in my old truck, and I spent a lot of time looking at cars, and wanted one with touch screen and iPod integration. I feel like I'm not getting what I paid for. Is Ford/Microsoft continuing to support GEN 1 SYNC? Will there be more updates, or are us older owners left out in the cold? I'm hearing mixed reports about MFT as well. If only I could go back and buy a different car...

Is anyone else having trouble with the speed control volume on their car? I have tried turning it all the way up to 7 without being able to notice it working. Also I am less than impressed with how my sync and my android phone play music. I was hoping for the applink or on-screen pandora/spotify apps. Does the iphone work better? Is the artist/song information shown on the driver or nav screen? All I see if on the entertainment screen is it saying that it's connected to bluetooth.
