  1. This is what I installed in my 2010 FFH, it is a custom box using a JL Audio 10" Subwoofer. My local Car stereo dealer made it using epoxy resin, he charged me around $600 for parts and labor, it is powered by a JL Audio 6x100 D amp, by bridging 2 of the channels, the other channels power the other stock speakers, I also have the Cleansweep DSP and SSI from JL audio, I have the Sony 12 speaker system, my installer disconnected the 2 8" rear deck speakers, they didn't sound very good anyway.
  2. I had a Viper 5901 alarm installed in my FFH, everything working correctly, although I do admit when I got my car back from the installer my Climate controls were acting wierd, when I took it to my dealer they found some errors occurring and had to reload software to fix it. Think maybe when they installed the alarm they may have corrupted the software somehow, luckily my dealer said nothing and fixed it for free under warranty. So I guess in comes down to how skilled your installer is, hopes that he doesn't damage something when tearing apart your car.
  3. The SSI - Signal Summing Interface, is meant to take the OEM signals from the Factory Head unit and obviously Sum them into one signal then send those signals to the DSP, my understanding with the Factory Head unit the OEM signals are filtered too much and degrade the sound. With the Cleansweep SSI unit eliminates the filtering and sends the the signals full range to the DSP, basically yeah it is important without it the DSP would not work well.
  4. The JL audio amp is powering the Front side door speakers and the rear passenger door speakers, two of the JL audio channels were bridged to power the 10" sub, the Sony rear 6x9 speakers in the rear deck were disconnected, the Sony amp just powers the front and rear center speakers, the JL Audio Sub cost $120, the car audio shop made the enclosure out of fiberglass resin for $75, labor was about $200 to install it.
  5. Here are the pictures of what they did to my vehicle, the Cleansweep devices are in the rear quarter panel where the Sony amp is mounted, the SSI is mounted behind the Sony amp, the amp is mounted under the front passenger seat.
  6. I posted in another topic, this is what I did with my FFH with the Sony 12 speakers, I had a local car audio shop install a JL Audio 6 x 100 D amp, Clean sweep CL441dsp and CL-SSI, added a JL audio 10" subwoofer, kept the stock speakers and NAV unit, Sync still works, improved the sound a TON. It cost me about $2000 including install.
  7. I bought a 2010 FFH with the Nav and sony 12 speaker system, and was unimpressed by the sound, decided to take it to a local Car audio shop, and he basically sold me a new JL audio 6x100 D amp, Cleansweep CL441DSP, Cleansweep CL-SSI, added a 10 inch subwoofer, kept the stock Sony speakers and Nav system, although they did disconnect the I believe 6x8 speakers in the rear, and WOW sounds 100% better, cost me with install cost about 2 grand, but worth the money, Sync still works.
