Projector housings are better at projecting the light, and focusing it in one area, like the road, ahead of the vehicle. In other types of housings, like the normal reflective ones, the light is scattered. You still have ALOT of light, it just is being reflected in every which direction. Typically in a projector, you don't piss off other drivers, relflective housings may because light could be reflected up. Projectors have the sharp cut off which protects oncoming drivers from being blinded. Trust me, at the cost of HID's these days, the ease of installation, everyone should have them. I've had 3 sets in 3 consecutive cars. Once you go to HID, you will not go back to halogen, the difference is that big. PS, it's hard to capture it in a picture, it's just something you have to see.
