DS Seat Heater 2019 FFH Titanium broken
timothyf replied to timothyf's topic in Interior Trim, Seats, Seat Belts & Covers
The dealer troubleshooted the problem. The bottom seat fan (each seat has two and no electric seat pad/element) needs to be replaced. Has anyone done this replacement? Does the seat have to be removed or can it be done with the seat installed? Thanks -
I have a set of used grey weathertech floor liners if anyone wants them. Please let me know. Tim

Hi my drivers side seat heater isn’t working. The back of the seat heats fine. The bottom doesn’t work though. Any ideas on how to fix it? I pulled the six connectors but none of them show any noticeable melting/burning. Any idea which one I should be focusing on? How to troubleshoot? Would it be the pad itself? Thanks for your help, Tim

Hi, I went out to start my 2010 FFH this morning after having had it sit on the driveway for a week and it was completely dead. No dashboard lights or anything when turned on. I jumped the 12v battery and it started right up. The car has 159K and is on its second 12v battery (can't remember when it was replaced). It drove around with no problems. Is it time for a new 12v battery or something else? Any one have any thoughts? I plan on trying to start it tomorrow morning. Thanks,

Hi, anyone have to replace their front wheel bearing on their 2010-12 FFH? Have the bearings been long lasting? Do they need to be done in pairs? Is it quicker and easier to replace the hub and bearing or the hub/bearing/knuckle assy? Can you pull the bearing off without removing the knuckle from the car or does the knuckle have to go on a press in order to get the bearing out? I had an unpleasant experience trying to get the lower front control arm off the knuckle on my 2010 FFH and not looking to repeat the experience. Thanks,

Suspension hardward replacement
timothyf posted a topic in Brakes, Chassis, Suspension & Parking Aid
Just out of curiosity, how many of you out there when replacing FFH struts, shocks, control arms, etc... replace all the attachment bolts as a matter of course? Or do you only replace them if they're rusted or stripped? ALLDATA seems to recommend replacing all of the nuts, washers, and bolts along the way. But the cost can add up. Where do most of you buy the fastening hardware, dealership, online store, local parts store? Best, -
Hi, the dealer recently noticed that my drivers side coil spring on 2010 FFH is broken. I will be replacing both front quick struts. Does anyone have any experience with OE Spectrum Monroe quick struts? Are they the equal to the OEM parts? The dealer also noticed a looseness in the the drivers side lower control arms. Is it standard procedure to replace both lower control arms on both sides of the car? Or will just replacing the two lower control arms on the drivers side suffice? Has anyone done these replacements? How difficult is the repair? Any tips? Thanks for your help,

Won't run in EV mode, ICE kicks in immediately.

The same thing is happening to my FFH 2010 after the replacement of the airbag. I've cleared the battery and reprogrammed the throttle valve. But to no avail. The EV just won't kick on at 30 mph etc... Anyone else come up with a solution? -
Hi, I have a 2010 FFH with 132K. Is anyone else experiencing what feels to me like turbo lag when accelerating from a dead stop? I know I don't have a turbo (wishful thinking), but there seems to be an acceleration lag in the transmission and/or engine before the car gets up to speed. It seems to be prevalent in the last year or so. Any ideas as to what's causing it or how to fix it? Thanks, Tim

Hi, I have a factory installed remote start with my FFH. Does anyone know if it's possible to have the drivers seat heater turn on with the remote start? If you turn off the car with the cabin heater and seat heater on. Then restart the car via the remote, only the cabin heater comes on. Is there a work around? Thanks

Any one know if there is a cabin air filter in the FFH? The owners manual references it, but there's no mileage change out times nor description of how to change it out? Thanks
