Did you look at the hybrid screen and check the energy flow status.

Congrats and welcome.

Since purchasing my FFH Titanium I have found the Sony HD sound system in need of optimization. Please post your preferred sound settings . About the only thing I miss about my previous Passat TDI was the Fender Audio system. Am I missing something in the settings? I find the mid bass is somewhat flat.

The FFH uses an Atkinson cycle engine with thermal efficiencies approaching that of diesel engines under certain conditions. The downside of Atkinson on a gas engine is little low end torque which the electric traction motors provide when needed to assist the Atkinson gas engine reach its optimum. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atkinson_cycle

iOS8 & Sync/MFT Compatibility
darrelld replied to hybridbear's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
I am using IOS8 on an iPhone 5 and have no problems. My iPhone 6 Plus will be here in 2 weeks and I will report any issues I find. -

This makes sense so the counter rotational forces of the incline are overcome quicker by prestaging a proportional amount of inverter current to the traction motor.

Just filled up with slightly over 300 miles on this tank and averaged 44 mpg. I did not drive gently to achieve this. I am now @4400 miles on the odometer. My C-Max starting improving around the same total miles.

I heavily considered the Fusion Energi and did a few test drives before deciding on purchasing the Hybrid version. I could have lived with the trunk space issue but I did not like the tendency of the Energi to bounce up and down over some of the roads I drive to work and back. I am assuming the extra weight rearward of the rear suspension causes a see saw effect. They seem to need stiffer springs or suspension air bags to compensate for the weight.

Accident!! In the Focus Electric
darrelld replied to hybridbear's topic in Lounge - Off Topic Discussion
Not good, you need a dashcam to aid any potential litigation against these drivers when they cause bodily injury to someone. -
Correct, the same would happen to any gas car with hill assist if you did not apply enough energy to overcome the vehicular masses tendency to equalize the energy you expended to reach the top of hill.

According to page 172 of the pdf owners manual. You will want to report this to your dealer if its not working.

The wet traction with the Contis are excellent at least as good or better than the Michelin MXM4s I had on my Passat TDI. The Tire Rack tests for the Contis are excellent. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/testDisplay.jsp?ttid=171

The Contis have stiffer sidewalls which gives them the excellent turn-in response and a stiffer ride. I run mine at 37lbs.

I swapped for the PureContact but its too early to draw any conclusions. I had the PureContact on my previous Passat TDI and they performed well, noticed about a 1-2 mpg increase in the TDI after a few thousand miles. The handling and turn-in response of the PureContact is very good.

Congratulations on your new FFE, very good find. I noticed the same results back in June when searching for my Hybrid Titanium. Plenty of SE's to choose from but I wanted the Pre-Collision option which requires Radar Cruise and those were hard to find. Drivers in my area have a habit of not turning their headlights on shortly after the sun goes down and the Radar Cruise can sniff them out even in the dark.

I would expect Fusion Hybrid sales suffered some from lack of inventory. I had to go over 200 miles out to find my Fusion Hybrid Titanium when I purchased at the end of June and the dealer said production was just switching over to the 2015's.
