Just put away an extra $20/month ($1200 over the 5/60 warranty period) into a high interest savings account (assume 1.3%). You'll have about $1240 at the end of the powertrain warranty. Granted, that $20/month was just a starting point to match the price of the plan, but I would still self-insure and put in more than that, probably in a short term high-yield bond fund. I don't think they would be selling them if they lost money on those plans. At any rate, it's a gamble either way. I'd rather have the cash cushion if I don't use any of my car fund. With the ESP, you don't have that option. Just my opinion and of course it's up to you. :beerchug:

I suppose page 23 (in the instrument cluster section) in the manual won't help? Looks like that's for setting the duration the lights are on after you turn the car off (didn't think mine did that..so maybe they're default off anyway).

There is a "Appearance Package" that could be added as an option on SE and SEL. If you look on Ford's Build and Price site, you can see this listed as a package: Not sure if the grill could be ordered and installed by the dealer/owner or not though. I didn't find anything on the Ford Accessory site.

That's what I was thinking. Then again, if it can be pulled off relatively simply then the integration (both aesthetically and functionally) may be worth it.

With that grill, it might be easier to clean bugs off the outside instead of having to get them off of the radiator since they can get through the gaps on the stock grill.
