My 2017 FFH started showing the check engine light after an oil change. I trust the place that does my oil change that they check all the fluids. The engine light would come on and go off for a few days.
We took a trip to Florida and after a five hour drive arrived at our overnight destination before going to our final destination. The engine light never came on. Later that evening, had to go to the store and lo and behold, check engine light came back on. I went to an auto parts store and they checked the code. Related to engine coolant over speed. Hmm š¤
Researched that and came to a bunch of possibilities associated with that code. One of them was low radiator fluid. Ok, I found a picture of the radiator cap, looked for it, and found it on the left side and also was looking at an empty tank.
I put a full container of premix antifreeze up to the max mark. Light went off after a few miles. Dummy me for trusting my oil change folks. I kept an eye on it and it seemed to hold the level. Yes, where did it go? Same as others. Nothing on the ground and no smells inside or outside the car. A real mystery.
I will continue to keep an eye on it. 175K
