You need more powerful alternator to do that. If you add it to your car in parallel circuit, it will charge twice slower. You can buy bigger and better (for example helium or AGM) accumulator.

Good tires after 5 years practically do not lose their performance characteristics and tread ok. Yes, they worse than new, but still pretty good. I think you can drive one more year.
