  1. Hello Everyone, I have a 2011 MKZ hybrid that I love. It has been problem free and I love the car. Best car I ever had in fact. It's been 9 years and all of a sudden the EV stopped working. The car starts and runs, the battery charges, but no EV mode. I googled it and came across a fix in this forum by a member named Allen. Apparently the battery times out at 9 years but can be reset with a scanner to 1 year and work fine. The car only has 47,000 miles on it and that fix would help me a lot. It look like this, https://www.fordfusionforum.com/.../19361-my-instructions-on-restoring-the -hybrid-ev-function-on-the-ford-fusion-hybrid-approaching-the-89-years- ... If anyone can send me a copy of this I would appreciate it even paypal you some bucks for it. My email is t18skyguy@hotmail.com. I'm specifically looking for those instructions. I can't find it here. Thanks, Don
  2. Hello everybody, thanks for letting me join the forum. I'm 68 years old and own a 2011 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid with only 47,000 miles on it. I'm an aircraft mechanic and inspector by trade, but do pretty well with cars. I didn't know such a forum existed. I can say that cars are a lot harder than airplanes. Airplanes have no emission systems on them and hardly any electronics that control the engine. I live in Springfield Oregon. I also have a background in medicine and taxes. Regards, Don
