how is the high voltage battery holding up? Do you notice any may loss of power, range, or mileage?

12v battery dead after two weeks (twice)
agbva replied to Tgederberg's topic in Batteries & Charging
I've left my 2018 FFH for as long as 3 weeks with no ill effects. Started right up, no errors or anything unusual. -
I just installed Sylvania H11 (low beam) LED's. They seem to have at least the same beam as the originals with, according to a site that measured, a 25% higher light output. The light is also more white (6000K), so it matches the LED DRL's. They fit fine, including the heat sync, and allow the dust covers to go on. Ignore all the videos and whatever about having to remove the bumper, etc. Just remove the dust cover, twist the old bulb CCW, and it comes out. Plug in the new one (has a cable attached to make it easier), and work it back in place. Turn clockwise until it locks. Should not take longer than about 10 minutes per side (after some cursing and swearing). I found that using a needle nose plyer on the heat shield helped locking them in place. Now to hope they last longer than SilverStars.

Key locked in car for weeks...will battery be OK?
agbva replied to Mac's topic in 2017-Current Ford Fusion Hybrid
I've left my 18 FFH in the garage for 3 weeks at a time and it starts right up. I'm about to do this again for another upcoming set of consecutive trips, so it will be the 3rd or 4th time. No battery saver or anything connected. My 18 Ford owner's manual says to start the car at least once in 30 days, so if you a planning a 3 week trip, I'm not seeing the issue. If you want a bit of extra security, take the manual part of the key with you and in the unlikely event that the car won't start and you need a jump, you'll be able to open the drivers door with the manual key thing and get under the hood for a jump -
My 18 FFH SE also has the insulator, side strips, and one at the leading edge of the hood.

Wireless updates not working...
agbva replied to moxiemoney's topic in 2017-Current Ford Fusion Hybrid
I have an 18 FFH and I've never figured out how to get the wireless update to work. I finally, after too many attempts, got an update to work using USB, but like you, didn't see any difference. -
CD3 performance sells a shark fin antenna for the Fusion. You send them the color code and it's custom painted. I have one and like it a lot (works fine for AM/FM and Sirius, too) Visual Garage Shark Fin Antenna - VG model: 2013+ Ford Fusion

For the ones who want to know how much it costs for a key
agbva replied to Jake3728's topic in Alarms, Keys & Remote Start
I purchased a new FOB for about $70 online and programmed it myself. For the physical key, I sent a photo of the key to keysfast.com, and for $45, I have the physical key that replaced the blank one in the new FOB. (yes, scary) The dealer warned me when I purchased the car that it was close to $500 for a replacement -
The manual notes that more accurate mileage is obtained after 2000 miles (after the break in period), but your mileage does seem low. I'm approaching the 2000 mile mark but have seen 40+ mpg on the gauge since new, closer to 45, although the computed mpg's are a bit less.

I went with a 2018 SE since the updates were not worth the additional cost to me. It seems that the same car is about $1200 higher (sticker price) and my 2018 was discounted $8K with 0% financing, so you could be looking at a difference of about $5K for the newer model year.

Fuel: my 2018 manual says this: the vehicle is designed to operate on regular unleaded fuel (87 octane). "For best overall vehicle and engine performance, premium fuel with an octane rating of 91 or higher is recommended. The performance gained by using premium fuel is most noticeable in hot weather." You being in Florida, I would try a few tanks of higher octane gas, and you can be sure that this was not the case in the past. I'm a big fan of BG-44K fuel additive and use a can every 10K miles. Buy a few cans online (should cost in the $12-$15 range each, rather than $30 or so locally), put in a can now and fill the tank, and do this for a second fill-up.

It does depend on the context and whether a person would be confused by the use of the trademark. When the Lexus car was introduced, Toyota was sued by Lexis-Nexis the legal database people and lost since a consumer would not normally think a legal service (if they knew it at all) was related to a car. I am an attorney, and while this is not my primary area of expertise, I would think that the interior would not be confused with MIcrosoft. If the ActiveX was on the radio or electronics, I would be more concerned.
