  1. I know the manual says that. But many passenger cars were never rated to tow either and I see a ton that still tow with no problems. My load would probably be under 1000lbs. That's less than filling the car with 4 fat dudes lol
  2. Hey, So I've put 3600 miles on my Energi Titanium. Ive come to wonder if I can tow a jetski with the car. I am looking at getting a late 90s Yamaha 2 stroke model, much lighter than one of the new jet skis that are basically small boats. Id be towing using a light weight aluminum trailer. Could the fusion Energi handle the weight? Most of the towing would just be a few miles to the boat ramp.
  3. Jumped on the highway today to go out of town for the weekend. I put the car in EV later mode. When the IcE is running, the sound system (stock Sony) is normal. But when coasting down a hill or slowing for traffic when the car goes to EV, the bass turns off. Why is this? It's definitely noticeable. It sounds like it turns off the subwoofers in the rear deck.
  4. Ok, so there is no warmup period for the ICE to bring everything up to temperature?
  5. Just picked up my 2016 Energi Titanium. Love it so far. However, with the battery charged, and I put it into EV later mode to save the battery, the ICE doesn't tuen on until you put your foot into it, as soon as you let off, the ICE turns off. The engine doesn't start and warm up. I find this to not be very good for ICE life as the oil and coolant are cold and all of the sudden the engine is running at 4000rpm for a few seconds and then back off. Am I doing something wrong?
  6. The stock sony sound is a lot better then the sony in my SHO. It just lacks the low end bass that gives the music real depth, I'm fine with downsizing my system to 500w rms with 1 10in sub, it'll probably fit in the trunk better anyway. Just wanted to know if ill cause any electrical system damage and if the car can handle the load. The 500w amp I have laying around consumes around 25-30A at full trot. The 1200w amp used in my current setup pulls about 40-50A at full trot.
  7. Can't you just turn anc off in the MFT menus?
  8. Looks like ill be downsizing my system then, Ill knock it down to one sub and a 500w rms amp. That shouldn't pull as much amperage. My 11 SHO had a factory 200a alternator, handled my 1200w amp fine.
  9. Do you know how many amps the charging system can supply to the 12v battery?
  10. Hello! Im new to this forum. I am picking up a new 2016 Fusion Energi Titanium in a few days to replace my 2011 Taurus SHO. I want to know if the electrical system of the Energi can handle my subwoofers. My amp is a Pioneer GMD 9601 1200w RMS a 1ohm. According to the manual, it consumes about 45A and draws about 7.5A. Install should be easy as the battery is in the trunk on the Energi. Can the car handle the extra load? Thanks!
