i have been thru all the displays i can find and do not see the miles to empty display. also there is a range number under the green leaves which indicates what?

so, even tho the dimmer switch works when the headlights are off(dash lights go from dark to light and then courtesy lights come on) it has a different circuit for night time when the headlights are on? i suppose that is the cheapest part to start with

sorry, i should have stated that i already tried adjusting the dimmer switch.

just bought a different 2010 hybrid as my first one was totaled. cant remember if the speedometer numbers and the ring should be lighted when the headlights are turned on. it is lit up when headlights are off and go dark when headlights are on.

we had an alarm go off sporadically with no error codes or message. turned out to be the water pump for the hybrid system. even dealer didnt know what to do till i showed him a printout of someone else on forum with same problem

i read another post by another fusion hybrid owner with a similar problem. he was able to glimpse the message ,something like high motor temperature. in his case it was only a loose connection. i only saw something flash beside the temp guage but could never see the message. without that post(and it was the only post of its kind i could find), the problem might still be unresolved.

as it turns out it was the water pump for the hybrid system. never saw the message but had ford check out the pump and that was it. drove to florida and back with no chimes.

having similar problem however i can not read the message as it is too quick. gonna take it to ford and see if it is same problem. was the defect a major issue that needed attention or a minor problem?

seat belt fastened and no passenger

while driving the alarm chimes sound like when the check engine light or low tire pressure light come on but there is no message. checked for error codes but there are none. car seems to be operating normally. what could cause this? dont want to pay 100 dollar deductible to be told they cant find anything but going on trip soon and dont want to break down. any info will be appreciated
