  1. Do the fusions come stock with block heaters, don't know where to look for it....
  2. Ok here some more info, I got the obd plugged in and logged with torque. The engine runs from cold start when heat is on 72. But then after a few mins, shuts off, few mins, then on again. I'm in Wisconsin so its cold here, I never turn the heat off, or lower then 72 in the cabin. I have been monitoring the cooolant temp driving around town. I goes between 125F to 140F. Temp is about 10 degrees here. Havent tested on the highway, but Im sure the temp wil get about 220.
  3. Ok, before I begin, I KNOW that hybrids suck in cold weather. I understand that they traditionally run cooler then the normal engine. With that being said..... I have noticed that I have little heat when operating my vehicle in cold weather, below 25 degrees. I can drive around town for an hour and it still will be luke warm at best. During that entire time, I monitor the engine coolant temp gauge. The engine warms up to just at the C line, on the bottom of the gauge. Then it fluctuates from the C line, all the way down below the C line to the beginning of gauge like it was just started. Temp never goes above the C line. Then when I drive it on the interstate, the temp gauge appears normal and the engine temp goes to the middle part of the gauge, and I then have comfortable heat. I took it to the dealer last winter and complained about this but was told it was normal. I have noticed a decrease in gas mileage since I bought the car. I was first getting about 575miles to a tank, now I only get 400 if I drive easy. Anyone have any suggestions?
  4. I know the priuses have them. Can we add an aerodynamic cover over the back wheels and will that increase MPG? Does anyone sell these for our cars? Seems pretty simple and cheap for a HUGE mpg gain.
  5. I was considering making DIY install remote start kits for our ford fusions. Just wondering if there is any interest from anyone. Probably sell them for around $100 with factory OEM remote 3x lock button start. There would be 4 wires to install, relatively easy and straight forward. Just pm me, or reply here and give me your thoughts. Only input regarding if you want one or not, I don't want any other comments whether you agree with it or not, cause frankly I don't care. LOL.
  6. How did you program the key into the ADS AL-CA ? Or did you not need to program the key?
  7. Fair enough, but the screen showing apps is not on that motortrend article. Those are new.
  8. I was just browsing and noticed the picture in this article. It doesn't look like any MFT update I have seen. I have attached another image below showing that there are APPS for our MFT finally!!!!!!!
  9. The part #'s they used are ADS AL-CA, FT-D100 and Drone Mobile. I think there are also subtypes of the ads part, but you can go to their website and search your vehicle to find specific part. Update: New firmware out, everything working 100% perfect.
  10. I didn't see much information on this so I will post it for those that are debating what to do. I have called 5 different Ford Dealers in the area to get the factory remote start installed on my car. NONE of them would do it, or said it was unavailable. I checked the ford website and it said it WAS available. I emailed Ford customer support directly for help. It's been 2 months and NO reply from them. Ford FAILED me again. So I did a lot of research on aftermarket remote starts for our 2014 Fusion Hybrids. It came down between VIPER or Compustar/Drone. Option #1 Viper all said and done would give me 2 additional remotes (4 with the factory remotes that wouldn't start the car) and cell phone start for $600. plus no new user period for the cell start, and they charge $10 a month for it on top of everything.using the ATT 2g network. Life warranty, but they take the part and you have to wait for it to mail back and return ship. Option #2 Compustar with the drone add on, would use my 2 existing FACTORY key fobs to start the car (press unlock 3 times to start) and also cell phone start. $375 with installation. ALso, 1 year free for cell start, then $6 a month after that using their new Verizon 4g LET network. Lifetime warranty if installed by a certified pro dealer and everything replaced on the spot with no waiting for mail or shipping. Without the cell phone option, it would have been $175 out the door. So I went with compustar drone. It works flawlessly on our cars. HIGHLY recommend it. BY LAW, your car warranty cannot be voided by adding aftermarket parts. That was my biggest hold up and why I really wanted a factory start. Glad I took the plunge.
  11. It works great for me. The maps display directly on the MFT screen. Touch screen works to control the program on the car radio. You have to use the old Scout version 1.7.1 Scout discontinued the "car connect" feature on the update after that version. Finding 1.7.1 is really hard, have fun.
  12. My first and last post. Thanks so much for the warm welcome. I guess there are a bunch of terds here that rather flame others instead of being productive and help out the community. If you actually read my post, instead of flaming, you will see what the hype is. Currently, there is no way to unlock navigation on the stock car radio if you didn't purchase it with the car. This is the only app that allows you to display navigation on the stock mytouch screen and integrates into the radio and override the FM radio when directions are given. You can also use the touch screen on mytouch to control the navigation. I personally HATE scout and I don't want to pay a monthly fee. But it is our only option as ford sign exclusive rights to that app via applink to work on mytouch. http://www.telenav.com/products/auto/ Scroll to the bottom on that page and read under the ford logo. "Open your mouth, insert foot"
  13. Scout has enabled car connect to display navigation on our mytouch screens. Sound also plays through speakers and interupts FM radio. The app sends audio and video via bluetooth stream to the mytouch system and is displayed on the LCD on our car. You can download the "scout" app from google play store. Doesn't work for iphones. Scout is telenav. This is all we got until WAZE ports over this techonolgy. But, $4 a month is cheaper then speanind $1k for new navigation system. HAVE FUN!!!!!!
