  1. I've gotten to the point where I occasionally arrive home or to work and see 49-51mpg. What did I do wrong? lol
  2. Back in the club for the first time in a while. Would have made it a couple of times but had to fill up before reaching it due to circumstance.
  3. I did some driving around this morning to go pick a friend up and drive him home then head back home myself. I pulled back into my driveway and was very pleased to see the resulting trip info. 50.6 MPG. I was paying very little attention to how I was driving for the most part of it as we were busily chatting away about the VW debacle. I Google mapped it out exactly to see how far I had gone and thought to myself, what the heck are these people doing to only get mileage in the 30's!? The ambient was about 75 and I did not need the air running. A good chunk of it was freeway also. I included the map info as a link. I fail to understand how someone can accurately comment on the mileage of a car if they drive it like a tool. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Nancy+Way,+Carmichael,+CA+95608/38.6068694,-121.347497/Blue+Collar+Customs/38.6233356,-121.5181981/38.4998669,-121.4224625/38.5500939,-121.427378/Nancy+Way,+Carmichael,+CA+95608/@38.5649109,-121.4332977,11.86z/data=!4m29!4m28!1m5!1m1!1s0x809adc73bcc28069:0x7cd71742e9f61be7!2m2!1d-121.347497!2d38.6068694!1m0!1m5!1m1!1s0x0:0xde29bed3e2eabae8!2m2!1d-121.3518744!2d38.6574372!1m5!3m4!1m2!1d-121.4366271!2d38.4960507!3s0x809ac57aee28fc65:0xc882bc0cbea457d9!1m0!1m0!1m5!1m1!1s0x809adc73bcc28069:0x7cd71742e9f61be7!2m2!1d-121.347497!2d38.6068694!3e0
  4. This is the end result of our recent vacation. We went from Sacramento to Vegas, spent 4 days there, then drove to San Diego and spent 2 days there, then back to Sacramento. I was rarely driving less than 75 and the air was on probably 95% of the time. 2 adults an 11 year old and the trunk stuffed within an inch of bursting and half of the back seat as well. A little basic hybrid driving behavior tweaks makes all the difference Edit: I did do my best while on the freeway to keep the ICE in charge of propelling the car. There were many long stretches of flat road where my instant MPG was showing 60 and above. 70-75 air con running.
  5. I have the same exact problem. It's not noticeable at a moderate volume, but definitely at a low volume. It's not really bad, but definitely noticeable, at least to me, when sitting in the car stopped with the volume turned low. So could this mean that my ANC is not working quite right? I thought the car was pretty quiet, but when the engine fires up in city driving or going up an incline I can definitely hear it running quite clearly. Anyone have any advice as to how to tell really how loud the car should be normally? I know that's very subjective.
  6. I could be just stupid, but with the color scheme and the way it looked and felt, it looked just like android. It looked nothing like the spy shots we've seen of Sync3. Could be that Ford has thrown out a Red Herring and all of us will be surprised.
  7. And it was quite obviously running Android though there was no mention of Android Auto anywhere in the Ford booth.
  8. I'm at CES and just saw a demo of Sync3 and it is fast and amazing. They only said we don't have anything to announce today about backwards compatibility yet.
  9. I'm sure it's me thinking I can outsmart the HVAC system by manually doing things that's causing it. I'll do that more of the time and see what happens. Thanks everyone for the input.
  10. Both are quite possible. We've had some serious rain here the last couple weeks.
  11. Not sure if this is the right area for this, but it sounded good. Many times lately I will come out to my car at the end of the work day around 9 p.m. and get in to find the interior surface of the windshield is completely covered in serious condensation. Not a little like hit the defrost for a minute or two, but break out the towel and start wiping so I don't have to sit there for 10 minutes waiting for the defrost to do something and running the engine for nothing. I haven't been using the sunshade lately because it's been overcast a lot so that's not trapping any moisture in there so I don't know what's causing it. I don't run the climate control constantly when it is colder, but go on and off as needed to maximize the battery availability. Is the car just sealed too well that it is not venting at all while it sits?I've never had it happen this bad before.
  12. It certainly does.
  13. I hereby do humbly request entry into this most esteemed club. :worship: Having fought slow and steady, I bring forth evidence of my noble deed. :happy feet:
  14. It wasn't so much hard as it was monotonous lol. It's not in my nature to drive quite THAT mellow all the time. I made sure to stay off the freeway also, otherwise it would have just taken longer.
  15. Finally got the mpg average to display the original 47 mpg combined. I know it's stupid, but I wanted to do it anyway.
