  1. My dealer replaced the 12v battery today (they said one of the cells was bad and was not holding a charge). Interestingly, this also seemed to fix another minor problem I was having with the car. Until now, whenever I tried running a Vehicle Health Report, I would get an error saying "Vehicle data collection fault - the report can not be submitted at this time. Please try again later". Today, after the new battery was installed, the report ran fine. I suspect that I had a faulty battery from the beginning.
  2. They claimed they did that back in December and did not find anything.
  3. I have a 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid that twice I've had to have Ford Roadside Assistance come out and jump my 12v battery after being gone for just two weeks (the first time back in December) and then today. Both times, I could not even open the door without removing the cover on the door handle. Also, when I first picked the car up at the dealer when I first purchased it, the 12v batter was dead. Is this normal, I don't think so. When it happened back in December, the dealer checked out the battery and said everything was OK but that since it is a smaller battery they are not designed to be left for long (I don't call 2 weeks long).
  4. Thanks. Then I must assume they used either 0w20 or 5w20.
  5. It appears that during the last oil change on my 2014 Fusion Hybrid, the dealer used 10w20 oil rather than 5w20 oil based upon the little sticker on the windshield. I called my dealer after I noticed it and they said that the stickers are pre-printed - I doubt that. Should I be concerned if they used 10w20 oil rather than the recommended 5w20 oil?
  6. Well the dealership fixed my problem - however I did not get an good explanation from my service advisor on what they did. There was an error code about a low battery cell (could be because when I picked up the car six months ago, the 12-v battery was dead) and they reprogrammed something. Does this make sense to anyone? Just glad it is steering better now.
  7. Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I will bring it to the dealer and see what they say. Hopefully they will let me test drive another.
  8. I am using the suggested tire pressure (35 psi) and do not have the lane guidance package.
  9. I have a 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid SE. I've had the car 6 months and have 11,000 miles on it. I can't quite describe it, but this car is the most uncomfortable car (steering wise) I have ever driven (I've been driving for over 35 years and have had numerous cars). I've noticed that it is difficult to drive one-handed, especially with one hand centered on top of the steering wheel - tt takes quite a bit of effort to turn (anyone else notice that). Also, there is a very slight shimmy in the steering? I haven't mentioned this to the dealer yet since I'm sure they will say I am imagining things. Could this be related to the electric steering on the car. Thanks
  10. Whenever I try to run the Vehicle Health Report on my 2014 FFH, I get the following error: Vehicle data collection fault The report can not be submitted at this time. Please try again later. Does anyone else ever get this?
  11. I have a 2014 Fusion Hybrid. The owner's manual states that it takes 4.5 qts of oil. Whenever I get the oil changed at the dealer, it seems that they put 5 qts in it and the oil on the dipstick is above the max fill line. Is this a issue?
  12. I have a new 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid - just picked it up on Monday. Friday I noticed a small hole in the vinyl on the console driver side near wear the you would buckle the seat belt. It looks like it happened when someone tried fastening the seatbelt. I am pretty sure I did not do that. Is this something the dealer could deal with?
