LOL, thanks, nice to hear you are happy with the '17, they are sure good looking! This is still a very civilized and friendly forum to visit, I've been on a few others since and it can get rowdy out there. ;)

Hi guys, glad to hear your cars are working so well and that the new FFH's are better cars than mine was. I do like the new 2017 styling updates but doubt I'll be getting one, just not in the cards right now. Take care! :)

Try this one, they have TSB's thru 2015: https://www.automd.com/recall-tsb/ Tesla is not mentioned but the Ford Fusion Energi is here: https://www.automd.com/tsb/ford_m/fusion-energi_mm/2013_y/ The links are not well coordinated so you may have to play around with the different headings to find what you want, for example, to find the Energi I did this: Vehicle Recalls and TSBs > Ford TSB's > Browse by Model > View All > Fusion Energi > Browse by Year > Bob's your uncle...

Still kickin', LOL. :lurk:

The Center for Auto Safety is now displaying most U.S manufacturers TSB's: http://www.autosafety.org/ Use the green Make/Model/Year box on the upper right side to find info about Recalls, TSB's, Complaints and other safety stuff. ---------- AutoMD also lists TSB's: https://www.automd.com/recall-tsb/

Thanks Jeff, that makes sense. BTW, this Etis list was for an Explorer, not a FFH. Etis shows a lot of police package items in that Explorer summary list (ie. - Less Body Armor, Less Speaker Wiring - 2 Way Radio), so maybe it shows the specific HMI version for the VIN requested, Commercial or Police - my guess anyway.
-
I was looking at a Ford on Etis tonight and one description in the list of the car equipment was "Human Machine Interface 4". Now, that could be a switch, knob, button or lots of other gizmos but I wonder what that actually is and what it does, any ideas?

We learned that 'less stuff' lesson back when we bought our new 2003 Ford Mustang GT 'vert with a 8 cu. ft. trunk. Room for two carry-on suitcases in the trunk and some odds and ends, two small bags, coats and a small ice chest in the back seat and we had lots of fun for weeks on end. Yeah, to provide longer EV range and get more luggage room will need a serious re-design. Ford is now saying they will have 200+ mile range EV vehicles and with Li-on batteries getting cheaper maybe it can be done.

I saw this in another forum, scroll down to the Fusion section: http://www.autonews.com/article/20160815/OEM04/308159952/flood-of-fresh-fords-starts-in-18

SSM 45113 - Effective May 8, 20152010-2013 Fusion Hybrid, 2010-2011 Milan Hybrid, 2011-2012 MKZ Hybrid - Change To Recreational Towing Procedure To Reduce Battery Drainhttp://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/9354-special-service-messages-ssms/?p=97263 === From the 2015 FFH Owner's Manual, page 224: Recreational Towing Note: Put your climate control system in recirculated air mode to prevent exhaust fumes from entering the vehicle. See Climate Control (page 117). Follow these guidelines if you have a need for recreational (RV) towing. An example of recreational towing would be towing your vehicle behind a motorhome. We designed these guidelines to prevent damage to your transmission. You can tow your vehicle with all four wheels on the ground or with the front wheels off the ground by using a tow dolly. If you are using a tow dolly follow the instructions specified by the equipment provider. If you tow your vehicle with all four wheels on the ground: • Tow only in the forward direction. • Release the parking brake. Vehicles with Push Button Start 1. Start the vehicle by pressing the brake pedal, and then pressing the ENGINE START/STOP button until the vehicle starts. 2. Press the brake pedal and shift the transmission into position N. 3. Turn the vehicle off by pressing the ENGINE START/STOP button once. (Trip Summary appears in the left instrument cluster screen when the vehicle is off.) Vehicles with Ignition Key 1. Start the vehicle by pressing the brake pedal, and then turning the ignition key until the vehicle starts. 2. Press the brake pedal and shift the transmission into position N. 3. Turn the vehicle off by turning the ignition key past the accessory position. The key position is between the accessory and off positions. See Ignition Switch (page 143). (Trip Summary appears in the left instrument cluster screen when the vehicle is off.) Note: If your vehicle is equipped with an ignition key, you cannot remove the key from the ignition cylinder when the transmission is in position N and the vehicle is off. All Vehicles • Do not exceed 70 mph (113 km/h). • Place the transmission in position P, start the vehicle, and allow the engine to run for one minute at the beginning of each day (you may need to press the accelerator pedal in order to start the engine). After allowing the vehicle to run, place the transmission back into position N and the ignition in the off position. Note: A SHIFT TO PARK or TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK message may appear in the information display when the transmission is in position N and the ignition is in the off position. You can ignore the message during recreational towing. ========= (Posted this to see if I still remembered how... ) ;)

Sent you one back, did it work?

Gosh, thank you all. I'll be by and check in and if I can help in the meantime just PM me.

Hi folks, I've asked Robert to remove me as a moderator. My Job 1 2013 FFH is sold and there are some health issues that need tending to. This is a good time for me to thank you all for the intelligent debate, investigations, problem solving, cooperation, teamwork and the myriad things that have helped make ownership of a FFH better for us all. But that is not the best part, it was FUN! I have never had a forum experience that has brought together so many polite, and sneaky, funny and fun loving people, I must have gained 20 pounds eating forum popcorn! All the funny smiley icons, inventive wit and long off-topic hilarity was special to this forum alone, and I was privileged to be here to see it. It's been a great experience for me. I'll stop in from time to time (if I find some good smileys). Sincerely, Dave
