    No More FFH

I took delivery of a black 2025 Toyota Camry AWD hybrid this past Thursday. While I'm a bit miffed about a lack of decent Nav features (subscription on LE and SE models), I got Android Auto and Google Maps to work with Sirius. That made me feel better. Straight-line launches in normal and sport drive modes are impressive. It has road sign identification. Speed limit signs are not only detected and displayed as white on black background, but if you are more than 2 MPH over the limit, it turns red. It also will recognize pedestrian signs, stop and yield and more - in addition to the display of speed limit. Welp, it's been a good run. For those of you that stick with FFH and FFE, best wishes to you. Take care, all! <waves and walks off>

Evidently the small amount of driving I did was enough to satisfy the car's requirement to turn off the check engine light less than 24 hours after I fixed the problem.

To check for codes, for free and save the money of having a dealer do it (~$70), take your car to any Advanced Auto, AutoZone, or O'Rielly's. They will give you a free code check. If you don't get a good result, go to a different store. I was getting a code traveling through Florida, and the Advanced Auto guy didn't know what he was doing and just wasted my time. So I took it a quarter mile away to an AutoZone, and got a full report on the situation for free. In that case, I concluded it might fix itself, which it did with more driving. It was just an Air fuel mixture sensor not functioning temporarily. If they can't tell you directly what is wrong, take the codes that they pulled, and plug them into the internet with your car information, and you will get detailed interpretation of the code meaning. I was having a different problem with a stuck throttle on my 2010 Fusion Hybrid, which I fixed myself by removing the TB and cleaning it. It was pitch black on the inside, no wonder it was sticking.

should check for any codes first. if no codes and you suspect a vacuum leak, use a scanner and monitor fuel trims, should be + or - 10.

Agree with Geerch2- gently but firmly pull the wires attached to the socket out, no need to disassemble anything. after replacing the light bulb, start car so the light is now illuminated, look through the headlight lens and guide the light back through the port in the lens. Then push it into the port firmly . thanks for all the great information on replacing this lamp without taking it to the dealer or removing the front bumper

    2010 ford fusion hybrid

Was throttle body. Check engine and wrench icon lights came on shortly after. A friend diagnosed and replaced part.

Damn! Shoulda checked YouTube, huh? The panel with the Ford logo on it is the one I was questioning. My screwdriver was too small, tho. And I had no clue on the battery number. Thanks a ton!

Just curious. I have taken great care of my car...aka usual maintenance and talked to it nicely:) It has worked great except for some minor issues, that others on forum have mentioned (warnings re brake system etc, most recent one is the tire kit replacement which was stolen a long time ago. We carry a full size 'spare' tire in the back seat and it has come in handy!). I have never had to replace brakes yet. I used it for my job in home health, hence the high miles. I have replaced the smaller battery x 2. Everything I have read says the larger battery should go by 135-150K. How much life do you think this buggy has? Anyone else got over 200K on original larger battery? Has been a great car!

    Key fob needed!!

I know this is an old post, so just sharing this in case someone else more current stumbles across it looking for key/fob replacement alternatives. Our son just got a 2014 FFH that only came with 1 key fob. Dealership quoted him $275 for key (not sure that included programing or not). Saw advice for buying elsewhere and getting it cut and programmed at a locksmith. Got this 2 key fob set off Amazon for $33 out the door: 2013-2016 FFH Key Fob Local locksmith charges $125 to cut and program both keys. They mentioned IF we had the original 2 keys we could program ourselves very simply in the cars ignition through a small multi step procedure, but since he is down to 1 key, we’d need a tool we don’t have. Just leaving this link and info here to help others down the road. Nearly half what the dealership was going to charge for 1 spare, and he will now have 2 spares.

    Vibration - 2010 FFH

UPDATE: It was the passenger motor mount causing all this. Had it replaced and all is good.
