The Prius vs high curbs

I walked by this Prius and was amazed at how low the front end is.

 

Just in front of the wheel it was touching the green curb, looked like it slid right over.

... and I thought the FFH had a low front end.

Certainly looks even lower than the FFH's front end! I've narrowly avoided scraping my front bumper on parking bumps before - luckily I go slowly in those zones so if I hit anything it's a very soft bump that alerts me I screwed up.

Yep, been there, done that. When I had one of those, things, I hit a raccoon with it, busted up the bumper, $1200 in damage. Got it repaired, then not long after thats, slid in some snow, and hit a curb with the newly repaired bumper. Scraped it a bit, but hit that same curb with a camry a year later, and just bumped into it with the tire.
