2013 Fusion Hybrid Repreve Fabric

Recommended Posts

I've had my 2013 Fusion for about a year now and it is the best car I've ever owned. I have a few minor complaints about it, but none that would stop me from praising it's assets.

I've noticed that after about eight months of daily use the Repreve fabric on the drivers seat where my shoulder lays has began to show slight wear in the form of a sheen. Also the fabric on the left side of the seat where my left thigh rests shows signs of a slight wrinkling. The seat back wear I attribute to the constant contact with my body as I enter and exit the cabin. The side of the seat takes the brunt of my weight as I slide into it (I am 6ft and 210 lbs). I can also see some stress on the seam at the point. The side of the seat bottom shows wrinkling that I believe is the seat cover loosening from the inside cushion (an adhesive problem?).

Has any other members experienced this problem with the new seat material?

Welcome to the Forum!

I'd suggest you get your Dealer to look at it and take some pictures to send to Ford for their opinion.

Do you have Dune leather seats? Some owners with Dune leather have reported issues. Few (none that I recall) with charcoal leather have reported issues here.
