It appears there's a new format in the home page with more ads on the right which are graphics and thumbnails. A lot of the net is a little slow today for me.

I agree.  I have a pet snail that is faster than the forums this morning!  ;)

The Energi site uses the same software and it is lightning fast by comparison.  Maybe due to the sheer volume on this one.

We cut out about 7 ads that were on the site last night that just added clutter and made the site slower.

There can be slow traffic days and some can be geographic too, but PLEASE post on this topic if you find the site slow.

Robert, I use adblocker and the site is really slow. I's hate to see what it is without it.

Seems to be back to good speeds today.  I think for consistency though, we might have to move this to a different server.

I'd say it's slow 90% of the time, including now (about 10 seconds to load a page).

Now that I said that, I find that page loading is down to 2-3 seconds.

It used to be fast, then it got slow for awhile, and today it seems much faster.

Quite honestly, I believe that since we're on a shared server, speeds will always be inconsistent.  The solution is move this site to a dedicated server.

This gets annoying.

Or to one that is properly loaded.

It is usually not a problem here.

EVERY server has congestion problems at times......for a wide variety of reasons.

Some expected and some not.

One incident does not a trend make.

And 3 hours later, back up to normal speed again.

Well kind of.  Saving that post was rather slow.

Let's call it very inconsistent (and frustrating).

I agree with that.

Right now it is so slow that you occasionally think it won't answer at all.

Sigh.
