djminfll Report post Posted October 2, 2014 Stupid question - I have looked everywhere for the factory code so I can set a personalized code, and I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know what phone number to call at Ford to get the factory code? I know on this amazing forum, there a a bunch of you who will know the answer to this one! GrySql Report post Posted October 2, 2014 (edited) There are two methods in the '13 FFH OM, page 57. Each requires both keys.Plus, my little vinyl folder with all the vehicle guidebooks/warranties & OM had a slip of paper with that code printed on it. djminfll Report post Posted October 2, 2014 Thanks GrySql, I looked through the OM, but I missed it! I know I had the card at one time, but it's not in the Owners Manual envelope, so I think it's been accidentally thrown out. I'll try the 2 keys thing and see if it works. Thanks for the info! 1 GrySql reacted to this
murphy Report post Posted October 2, 2014 The two key method works but on my 2013 the number is displayed in reverse order. That is if the number displayed in the left screen is 12345 then the actual code is 54321. The code can also be read with a bluetooth OBD II scanner and the Forscan PC software. The card with the number that came with my car is hard plastic and is in the outside pocket on the back of the case the Owner's Manual is in. 1 hybridbear reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted October 2, 2014 My Freestyle still had that card in it. Good thing too I use the keypad a lot in that car. The T and Fusion you get so used to touching the handle to lock and unlock, that other cars that still use keys can be a pain. LOL
djminfll Report post Posted October 5, 2014 I actually tried the 2-key thing, and it displayed completely the wrong number, not even close to the right one. I remember that the number was something like 00648, but the number that displayed was like 97399, something completely unlike it, not backwards, not forwards. I called Ford, they said I need to bring it to the dealer. I called the dealer, and they said it needs to be hooked up to the computer, and they will charge 30 minutes labor, about $70. I don't think I need the code that bad - I'll figure out some other solution at some point!

The first two numbers actually line up because 1-2/3-4/5-6/7-8/9-0 on the keypad that makes 99 = 00 1 GrySql reacted to this

However, I did try the number, and it didn't work either. But wow, I like how your brain works! 1 GrySql reacted to this
murphy Report post Posted October 5, 2014 Did you reverse the digits? If it displayed 97399 the actual number is 99379 or 00480 if you prefer even to odd numbers. 2 GrySql and tclemmer reacted to this

GrySql Report post Posted October 5, 2014 You can also change your door code by using the MFT screen>Settings Icon>Vehicle>Door Pad Code. FFH OM page 358. 2 Wingmn and hybridbear reacted to this
