Re-Styled C-Max

I wouldn't even consider buying the current model. I really don't like its looks. The new 2016 model (here in the US) will be a big improvement.

I agree now the grill is actually in the right spot.

 

Looks really nice hopefully it will have the same upgrades once it comes to the North America.

Yeah honestly when I saw the grille of the old C-Max I was like WTF. The new one looks decent though, much better than a Prius for sure! (not that the Prius isn't a fine car - I've rented one - but its styling just isn't my type)

 

If I had a family and more $$$, I'd own both a Fusion hybrid and a plug-in version of the restyled C-Max :)

I would certainly consider a 2016 C-Max with the new grill, so much more appealing than the current model.

For me it was the back end that I really didn't care for, seemed to looked squashed in a bit.... I think the 2016 is an improvement there too. I made a quick pic with a comparison of the 2015 model as shown on Ford's 360 view, and the above pic of the 2016 version.

They smoothed it out a bit, does look better. When I first looked at the Fusion, I also test drove the Cmax. I didn't care what it looked like outside since I am inside and can't see it. :) What I did like was that getting in and out was easy, just step in or out, like the Flex. What I didn't like were the mirrors, no BLIS in the one I drove(do they even have it), and those BS mirrors took up too much mirror space so it was confusing trying to back up. Been driving since 1983 and never used those dinky little convex mirrors except on the semi's, so the part of the mirror I use to see with had that mirror on it, and I nearly backed into another car because I really could not see it. It also reminded me too much of a mini van.

 

It drove nice, it was roomy, but the Fusion won out due to better styling, BLIS, handling, and the SE Luxury seats were more comfortable. Looking back though, had I gone for the Cmax, I wouldn't have had the issues I did with the Fusion, since my test drive in that car showed much better FE. Should have been a warning sign.

I really like driving my C-max energy. The interior is roomy and the climate control design is much better than my 14 ti hy fusion. Yes, you can get BLIS. I like the new front end design, but they won't be giving the 2016's away like they are the 2013 left overs.

When I first went to the Fusion Introduction in August or September of 2012, they had a C-Max in the showroom as well. I didn't mind the exterior styling too much, but when I got in the car, it felt like an econobox, whereas the Fusion interior felt like a luxury sports sedan. Even now, I only see an occasional C-Max on the road, but I see FFH just about every day.

There is no hybrid logo on the side, either. Smoother.

The Ford website shows the 2015 C-Max with the Hybrid emblem in the usual place.
