Preparing for Winter

Recommended Posts

My wife gave me the news the other week - she does not want to drive the MKZh this Winter. She wants to spare "her" car from the dangers of snow and ice.

So...I went on Tire Rack and ordered a set of Bridgestone Blizzak snow tires and a set of wheels. She picked out the wheels.....

It's really unfortunate that we have to think about winter already but being prepared can't hurt.

I like the wheels they look very similar to the ones that come we the sport package.

P.s. When I read the topic I really thought you already had the first snow ;)

After 40 years of marriage I learned long ago to let her pick the wheels for my car. ;)

Already putting money aside for replacement tires. Reviews on the Conti Purecontacts show very good snow traction.

Those wheels look exactly like the ones that come on the base model of the gas SE (17" Sparkle Silver-Painted Aluminum).

Those are my 2nd favorite Fusion wheels, my favorite being the 18" SE Appearance wheels (18" 5-Spoke Premium Painted Aluminum).

I looked at the Conti snow tires. They were cheaper than the Blizzaks, but my previous experience with the Bridgestones has been great.
