When the seed pods open the inside has soft fibers, that are used for bedding or filling life preservers.

 

 

Fascinating! Being a long time boater I am familar with kapok life preservers but did not know that the filling came from a tree. Thanks for sharing.

My T had no bracket on the front bumper, still doesn't. Front plate is under the passenger seat. The T never goes to downtown Chicago, I try to avoid taking it anywhere near Chicago if I can, but yesterday had to go to Schiller Park, but where I parked it the nose was against a wall. :)
