I seem to be constantly resetting my cruise control while on a long distance trip in my 2013 FFH. I am careful to not touch "cancel" when touching "resume". What am I doing wrong?

Do you brake with your left foot?

Do you brake with your left foot?

Knowingly or unknowingly?

Why would that matter?

Why would that matter?

Cuz ppl that brake with their left foot tend to ride the brakes and/or hover their foot over the pedal.  Any touch of the brake pedal will cancel CC.  :)

How do you "cancel" the cruise most of the time ?

Using the brake pedal should "remember" your last setting but other ways might not.

Now that I said that, I can't remember what circumstances won't remember the last speed.

If you use the "CNCL" button it will remember the setting. If you turn the cruise "off" it will not remember the setting.

I typically use cancel even when approaching a stop light or sign because it takes a bit too much brake pedal pressure to disengage (or I'm still not used to it after 20,000 miles). Seems I just have to think about breaking in my chevy for the cc to disengage.

+1 on the cancel approach. Canceling with the brakes messes with the brake score as well.
