Question About Coasting

Recommended Posts

If the battery isn't charged, yes.

And if it is not in Neutral.

And if you are not "feathering" the throttle to eliminate all of the drag.

Does regen occur when the FFH is coasting?

Gary

Yes anytime you take your foot off the gas. Easily visible with the arrow above the battery indicator pointing up.

And as Griswald said as long the HVB can still take the charge.

I never really bothered to find out the reason for this, but now that this topic has come up I'll ask. When coasting, the up arrow is white, when regenerative braking, the up arrow is blueish. I assume there is more recharging while braking than just coasting and that the color differential is just telling us what's going on between the two?

I never noticed that the arrow turns blue since the big blue circle dominates the screen when braking.

I would probably think the same like Riggo

coasting - white arrow

braking - blue arrow and the circle
