Check is in the mail

I received my $775. check in the mail on the FFH yesterday. Maybe the one for the MKZh isn't fat behind. Anyone else received theirs yet?

Not yet. What does the info accompanying the check include? Does it reference VIN? Dealer info? Etc?

 

How was it delivered? Regular first-class mail? I think the previous C-Max checks were sent UPS/FedEx with signature confirmation.

A question for you guys, i've "heard" that Canadians would also be eligible for a check from Ford. ($950 CAN I think). Have you received a letter first or some king of communication from Ford regarding the upcoming check ?

 

I haven't read all the threads regarding this so I probably missed something...

It's $925 CAD and I haven't received it yet. I was in a unique situation where I'd moved from Ontario and hadn't yet registered my car in BC, when the announcement was made. I had to quickly call Ford HQ, provide my VIN, and tell them to update my address right away. Fingers crossed that my check comes safely to Vancouver!

 

(I think $925 is too low considering that gas is $1.50/litre right now but I'll take what I can get).

Sounds like they are sending them out based on last name and build date. My first one was built middle of October 2012.

A fried of mine whose name starts with D and has a 10/28 build car has received a check. Keep in mind and consider the numbers of cars sold and the very few numbers of people who post on here. I have no idea if this has anything to do with it, but we both bought A-Z Plan.

Perhaps it is regional. Is he in the same region? I believe the C-Max Hybrid owners figured out that the previous C-Max checks were sent out in groups based on dealer zip code because some owners who had bought from an out-of-state dealer received their checks at the same time as people who were local to that dealer.

Bulk mail presort is discounted by zip code. I imagine they would send them that way. How they determine the order of the zip codes is up for grabs. It may depend on the availability of equipment at the print shop.

Still nothing here in Toronto Canada with a first and last name starting with K... Had two cars built, one sat in Hermosillo and the second was built 1/13 delivered 2/13.

My parents got their check today for their C-Max Energi which was purchased June 2013.

Nothing yet here, first car was purchased day after Thanksgiving 2012.

Ford might also be mailing them out by vehicle. If you check out the C-Max Energi Forum you see that just about all of the Energi owners online received their checks on July 15th. There were more than 40 ppl who posted that they received checks on July 15th. All of them bought their C-Max Energi, none leased it. Their purchase dates ranged from 2012 to a couple days before the announcement in June. Not a single owner has posted that they didn't receive their check on July 15th. It looks like Ford might be grouping owners by vehicle to a certain extent.

This suggests that anyone (me!) who purchased their car after the announcement will not be getting a check, although the official announcement on the Ford website does not say that, and there is nothing in the payment calculator that asks when your car was purchased.

 

I kept the Monroney sticker for my car, which showed 47/47/47, just in case.

It's not there. Damn!

 

I think that the fact that the Build Date was prior to the announcement, plus the fact that the Monroney sticker still shows the old EPA estimates, and Etis shows a Outstanding Field Service Action/14L01 - MONRONEY LABEL REPLACEMENT should be sufficient reason for Ford to cut me a check.
