SSM Cmax Radio Issues

Recommended Posts

This SSM came out recently. Note that it includes the 2013 Cmax.

The 2013 Cmax has been out for quite a while, but the fix for reprogramming the audio module was just released.

If you ever have a problem with your car, it's important to complain to your dealer and get them to write a work order on it. It may or may not get fixed in the first few visits, but if enough people complain, Ford usually listens and usually comes out with a permanent factory fix, but it may take a while. And remember, the dealer cannot rewrite software, only Ford engineers can do that. So, don't blame the dealer for everything that goes wrong and for things that take a while to repair.

Jun 20 2014 5075 -2013-2014 C-MAX, Focus and 2014 Fiesta, Transit Connect - Several Radio Issues

Some 2013-2014 C-MAX, Focus and 2014 Fiesta, Transit Connect vehicles may exhibit one or more of the following concerns: AM/FM/Sirius radio display does not update when changing stations using presets or frequency selector, during CD operation the track info is blank and no information available, FM mode Autostore does not store stations in numerical order, and/or following a vehicle start-up the radio cannot be heard until the radio on/off is cycled, volume level is adjusted or the radio station is changed. To correct these conditions reprogram the Audio Control Module (ACM) to the latest calibration using IDS release 90.04 and higher. Calibration files may also be obtained at www.motorcraft.com. For warranty claiming use causal part 19C107, and use applicable 12651D labor operations in SLTS manual Section 10 for the vehicle.

Okay. I admit it. I haven't a clue. What is an SSM? :zombi:

EDIT: NVM. Found it. :) Can we get this added to the acronym list?
