First Gen FFH throttle body - issues too?

Recommended Posts

Have a 2010 FFH with ~55k miles, and yesterday had the yellow wrench light show up. First early in the morning when my wife was driving, then again in the afternoon when I was driving. Does not appear to be heat related.

I noticed that while the light was on, the electric side of the power meter was being used and the gas engine side was not, and this was at highway speed. I was able to feather the throttle for several miles until the battery meter was nearly dead at which time the car went into limp mode. Pulled over to shoulder, turned car off, turned back on, and wrench light went away and the car drove normal.

Wondering if the the throttle body was not working for the gas engine? I know this is an issue on the non-hybrids, but has anyone gone and replaced the throttle body on the FFH and have it fix this type of issue?

I know this is old, but we are just now have some throttle body issues. We tried cleaning it and it worked for about 8 miles, then the problem came back, so the electronics in the TB are failing. At least that's what we think.

What did you work out with yours?
