Sony HD Audio Speaker Test

Recommended Posts

Testing each speaker of course, but how to get to that screen would be nice.

MFT Engineering Test Mode

Press and hold the Eject button and the >>| button.

I made that video a while back trying to understand why it doesn't test all "12" speakers it says it has. I put the instructions on how to get to that screen in the comments below the video. But for the record; you can get to that screen by holding the CD eject button and the >>| button at the same time. Not sure why Darreld posted this though.

Since purchasing my FFH Titanium I have found the Sony HD sound system in need of optimization. Please post your preferred sound settings . About the only thing I miss about my previous Passat TDI was the Fender Audio system. Am I missing something in the settings? I find the mid bass is somewhat flat.

I couldnt find the test mode you talked about, I tried the "hold Eject button and the >>| button" but it just said no disk! Is there another way to get there? And how did you find out about this shortcut?

I have 2014 hyti, the ford website says the sony system is 390 watts with 1 subwoofer. But where is the sub? My 12 speaker system is pretty weak on the bass, the bass is not really noticeable unless I turn the volumn up to around half full and it still sounds like speaker bass and not sub bass. Could the dealer removed it?

I had a 2010 F150 Lariat with sony premium sound package(700W and 8 speaker), I dont missed the truck's horrible mpg but I do missed the sound. Its night and day difference compared to hyti.

You have to press and hold those button for a few seconds until the "No Disk" message disappears. The Walk Around test will begin automatically and you will see the Sony HD actually has 2 Subwoofers.

Subs are under the rear deck in the trunk. I also had an F150 with the Sony system. Killer, great bass. To get the bass out of the HyTi you have to set the speed compensation to 7 and drive. You wont get it sitting still.
