Drew Hemminger Report post Posted May 30, 2014 I was driving home one day and noticed that my backup sensor is not working. it shows up as a fault in my system check but i havnt been in any sort of accident or anything. it is now continually disabled. is there a way i can fix this myself or can i take it somewhere and get it taken care of quickly and not spend hundreds of dollars? its not a neccessary feature but ive had the card for about 6 months so its not a good sign if stuff is already breaking. SteveB_TX Report post Posted May 30, 2014 You don't tell us what the year is or mileage. I assume it is a new FFH??? If so, it's under warranty. Take it to the dealer. 1 jeff_h reacted to this

The official Ford ESP plans are good at any dealer in the US.
Drew Hemminger Report post Posted May 30, 2014 no it was a separate plan but i think there may be some of the original owners coverage left. not sure.
Easy Rider Report post Posted May 30, 2014 Let me guess:You no longer have any of the paper work for the extended warranty, right ?? There probably are dealers or shops in your area which service the "brand" of warranty that you bought in Texas, even if it is not a "Ford" plan.Of course, it might not cover "accessories" like that either. It should cost you about an hour of shop labor to have a dealer check it out....around $100 in most places.I doubt that you can fix it yourself........except maybe for checking the connection to the sensors, if you can find them.
