Is my a/c on or off?!

Recommended Posts

Now that it's warm out, time to try the a/c on my '14 HiTi.

When it was 79 degrees outside, I turned the a/c OFF (the light turned off). The climate was still ON and it was still on AUTO. The air coming out of the upper vents seemed just as cold, even a minute later. Air circulation was OFF.

Is there another way to turn OFF the a/c?

There is a thread here regarding the AC. There is a sequence to turn it off. something like, auto, max ac then ac off. This is one of the dumb things Ford did on this car that makes no sense. Turning off the AC means turning off the AC, yet turning it off, doesnt.

Yep, new software fixes this.

Until then, you just have to put the system into a manual mode control, like selecting the panel (vent) button on the touch screen.

How do you get the new software?

Pay the man behind the curtain. I will find out when I do my next maintenance on this. I have 22200 now, and the next oil change is due at 25K, which isn't too long now.

My Fusion will go in for service in about 3 weeks. I'm gonna ask. I'll post what happens.
