Nick Golden Report post Posted April 21, 2014 I have a Fusion S with black rocker moldings (i.e. not body color). I did some searching and didn't find much on them. Anyone have any tips on how to keep these clean? I got a little wax on them which I'm trying to wear off but road grim (especially salt) seems to make them prettty ugly. I don't mind the black so long as it's clean. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks, Nick
hybridbear Report post Posted April 21, 2014 Are they non-smooth plastic?

GrySql Report post Posted April 21, 2014 (edited) I use this, it cleans, protects, makes it look like the way it came from the factory again and leaves a dry finish. It is not for black specifically, it just restores what was there in the first place. But, if it is really dirty you'll have to wash the grime off, dry it and then use this stuff. I use it on my Mustang's convertible top, all my tires, my Mustang's black leather upholstery and all the black chrome or plastic molding on the interior or exterior. It is an amazing product, simple to use and works. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XBCURW/ref=s9_al_bw_g263_i3 Edited April 21, 2014 by GrySql 2 hybridbear and Nick Golden reacted to this

inco Report post Posted April 22, 2014 I have seen some folks have them actually painted to match the colour of the car and it works very well. They can be prone to chipping, which is likely why they are different, but a good painter can do some great things to help minimize that. Cost - about $400 IIRC. 1 Nick Golden reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted April 22, 2014 Use Dawn to get the wax off first. Just dont get it on the paint or you will need to redo the wax. You could Plasti-dip them too, then you have a tough surface that will resist rocks and junk, and can be peeled off at any time. 1 Nick Golden reacted to this
