Might be as simple as the shift lever not being totally in neutral and the camera got activated. Try putting it in neutral and see if it happens again. If it does, it might be a feature, if it doesn't, well I guess you could complain. ;) More than likely the camera was 'on' when you changed gears? Had you moved the lever it might have gone out.

Those into alternate life forms might also have a different theory, but it's Sunday and I'll leave it alone. :worship:

When you put it in Neutral it bumped the reverse switch briefly and turned the camera on. It will stay on no matter what the delay is set to until you either put it in park or drive. As far as the camera knows, you are in reverse.

:) your conclusion is valid about the car coming up to smack you, but I think it's so you can fine tune your position for lining up a trailer hitch!! Also, thanks for sharing about the new air intake. I plan on ordering one.

It turns off at 5 MPH...that's crawling speed.

Keep in mind though, HB drives, his wife pushes. Takes them a while to go past 5 MPH. :happy feet:

When you're backing up to leave and then driving through a parking lot, alley or underground parking garage you aren't going to exceed 5 MPH right away. Our apartment building is home to a lot of families with small children who will run out in front of you when driving through the underground garage. Residents are supposed to keep their speed under 5 MPH down there for that very reason. I'd rather not run over any children so I drive slowly through the garage.

Yeah, sure, you just dont want to admit you have your wife pushing you around. :)

After all you did learn from Coach, who has his football team carry his around.
