Hybrid 110V outlet not working

So, I've finally been driving my new car and tried using the 110v outlet today. I can not get it to work with a laptop or with my Iphone charger. Is there something I need to do to turn it on or some sort of requirement I'm missing?

I dont recall a setting anywhere to enable it. Should be powered on when you start the car.

The laptop could be to big but IPhone should work just fine. Is it maybe not connected / plugged in all the way. The outlet springs are pretty weak.

I doubt the laptop is over 150 watts. I think the springs are very weak. My cell phone plug has fallen out a few times. Backseat passengers really like it though.

Make sure the ignition key is on and check the indicator light to see what stage the power point is in.

As mentioned, make sure your device is plugged in securely.

If it does not re-set after following the instructions below the Dealer will need to see what is wrong.

"The power point is used for powering electrical devices that require up to 150 watts. It is located on the rear of the center console.

When the indicator light, located on the power point, is:

• on — power point is ready to supply power.

• off — power point power supply is off; ignition is not on.

• flashing — power point is in fault mode.

Auxiliary Power Points

The power point temporarily turns off power if the 150 watt limit is exceeded.

It can also switch to a fault mode when it is overloaded, overheated, or shorted. Unplug your device and switch the ignition off then on for overloading and shorting conditions.

Let the system cool off, then turn the ignition off then on for an overheating condition.

The power point is not designed for electric devices such as:

• Cathode ray tube type televisions

• Motor loads, such as vacuum cleaners, electric saws and other electric power tools, compressor-driven refrigerators, etc.

• Measuring devices, which process precise data, such as medical equipment, measuring equipment, etc.

• Other appliances requiring an extremely stable power supply: microcomputer-controlled electric blankets, touch sensor lamps, etc. "
