Door won't open from inside

This hasn't been a major issue for me as I rarely have back seat passengers, but I've noticed that the rear door on the driver's side of my 2014 FFH won't open from the inside, even when it's unlocked. I always have to open the door from the outside for anyone sitting there.

 

Is there any way to fix this short of going to a dealer? If not, I can get it looked at next time I'm there.

Pull the interior handle twice. This is a safety feature on the rear doors. Something your salesperson should have shown you.

If you open the rear door and look near the latch, you can see the child lock screw, on mine its a white plastic screw head and the slot is vertical. Maybe your child lock is manually activated. This will prevent the door from opening from the inside.

You only have to pull twice if the doors are locked. The OP says that he can't open the door from the inside even when the car is unlocked. This sounds like a Child Lock is active. When our black FFH was delivered we had the same thing happen. I checked and found that the Child Lock was active on the door in question. Turning it off solved the issue.
