2010 Fusion Hybrid vs. 2010 Fusion S/SE/SEL

I know that the 2010 Hybrid, S, SE and SEL all come with or are available with a 2.5L 152 Cu. In. Inline 4. Is the engine in the Hybrid exactly the same as the one in the other 3 sub-models? Would I be able to use the same parts on my Hybrid that are available for the other types? Thanks!

Are you referring to the non hybrid models? The engine displacement is the same with the 2.5, but they are different types of engines. Atkinson and Otto.

I was wondering if I would be able to use mods such as a cold air intake or a turbo made for the other 2.5L fusions. I'm looking to build a sleeper hybrid to race, I want to be one of the first.

It is a completely different engine. The only thing that is the same is the displacement.
