If anyone reads this and notices that: www.Support.Ford.com is showing that an incorrect version is installed on their MyFord Touch system. PM me your name, VIN, mileage, and phone number. Although we've verified that there is an issue with the website, I'd still like to continue reporting each case of this happening.

Kim

Kim,

We are having this issue as well. I have sent you a message with the info you requested.

Hi Kim,

I'm also having this issue as of 12/31/13. I just ran a VHR so the website does show the correct mileage but it is telling me that I have a MFT update to be downloaded when I think that I have the latest 3.6 version (which I downloaded in August). The website is saying that the last update was in early April (which is before I picked up the car from my dealer). I sent you a PM with VIN, mileage and my phone number.

Hi Kim,

I bought a new 2014 fusion last night.  I found a plastic container in the glove box that looks like it should hold a memory card, labeled Taveteq Maps, version A4.  It is empty.  What is this, what happened to the memory card, and do I need to keep it?

Thanks

If you look in the armrest you will find a slot with the A-4 card inserted. You need it for your navigation to work.

Your salesman didn't show you around your new car?  My salesman explained every function of my Z and even about the empty SD case.  Go back and smack him/her on the back of the head NCIS style.  :)

I had another appointment and didn't have time after we did the paper work.  He is going to stop by our house and give us the full demo when the weather improves.

I really didn't expect to buy a car.  I was looking at a nicely equiped SE they had on their website with Dune leather, but it has been stuck in transit for the past couple of weeks and hasn't arrived (stop me if you heard that one).  I stopped in to tweak the salesman about loosing a sale on the last day of the year, and the sales manager said "how about this one..." I told him we had looked at it and it was out of my price range.  He said "Not Today" and we were off to the races.

Although Ford is expanding the availability of AppLink, it is focusing on Gen 1 SYNC systems at this time. You'll find the announcement here: http://media.ford.co...-customers.html There is still no update on AppLink for MyFord Touch equipped vehicles, but I've passed along the feedback.

Hi tr7driver,

It sounds like the other members of the forum answered your question already. They're correct; you found the case to the navigation SD card. This is where the map information is stored for your navigation system. When future map updates are released, they will be available here: www.Navigation.com or you can speak to an agent by dialing: 1-888-628-6277. I'm sure your sales representative will be able to fill you in on any other questions you may have. If not, let us know!

Just a ball park availability would be nice. Or at least ask them why I paid more for a less capable system?

Hi LASooner,

I wish I had more information on this; I'd be happy to share it with you. Unfortunately, I am unable to speculate on future updates.

Here is the link I posted earlier to keep an eye out for announcements: http://boards.syncco...ncmb&listMode=0

Hey everyone,

What’s better than one In-Vehicle Technology representative on this forum? You guessed it; two! :)

Rebecca and Kim are the official Ford representatives that will be handling inquiries regarding SYNC, MyFord/Lincoln Touch, navigation, and SYNC 3! If you’re not sure what SYNC 3 is, check out this announcement posted today: http://www.ford.com/technology/sync3/

You’ll see both of us jumping into threads to add helpful information, but you can always reach us directly at the FordIVTTeam account. Just send a DM and one of us will be happy to respond.

Kim
