Remote Start and heated seats

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

According to the Ford How-to video on remote start (video page link is below), the heated seats are supposed to come on when you use remote start. That doesn't seem to be the case with our 2014. I can't find anything under the Remote Start settings related to the heated seats either. Any thought on this?

Thanks

Dave

I have only used the heated seats a couple of times, and very recently, but as I recall when NOT using remote start they do not come on. "Unfortunately" it has been too warm to try them that past couple of days. I assumed they would run just like the AC does when you use remote start, which is to say the AC comes on. That's the real beauty of remote for me. I'm sure someone else will have info on this, vis a vis the seats.

Answering my own post... Yes, the heated seats come on when you use Remote Start. When you get in the car and "start" it for real, they will appear off, as usual. But they do come on when the car is in Remote Start mode. Very nice! :)

As long as the climate is set to auto on the settings menu, there will be heat and heated seats, and for those getting the cooled seats, in the summer the AC will run and the seat cooling will be on. Works quite well in the Flex, and the heat in the Fusion, Wonderful, how I got by all these years without it, dont know.
