Very interesting to discuss MKZh vs FFH. Just like discussing SE vs HyTi. Maybe we should create a pinned thread that shows the feature differences/option differences between the FFH SE, the HyTi and the MKZh. In the Buying section it could be a useful resource for potential owners.

I forgot about the MKZ having LED "signature" light strips up front vs the available Fog lights for the Fusion. No Fog lights available for the Z.

Just got back from the dealership... Incentives can be very appealing to potential Fusion buyers like my self right now....

 

This is what I got having x plan....

 

So obvious x plan discount

+ 750 Cash (Need x plan for this)

+ 750 Brochure Certificate

+ 1000 Conquest Cash (I currently have a Chrysler)

+ 0% 48 Month Loan or 1.9% 60 Month Loan...... (If you opt for the 0% loan you save another $1,700 dollars roughly)

 

So, a potential of an extra 3000 dollars more you can save vs buying the fusion hybrid which almost offset the lincoln brand extra cost. (AND let me tell you, that those cooled seats are Nice!!! My ass was cold in 30 seconds flat)

I prefer a cooled back to a cooled butt. The Flex only cools my butt even though it has cooling on the back, but it is nothing like the cooled seats the F150 had. Freeze your nutz off, literally! With that said, I dont think I would spend the extra for cooled seats unless there was no choice if it was in a package of other items I did want.

Our seats have cooled butt and back... although the butt does get a lot cooler! :wub:

I agree I wish it had a cooled back. Ive never had a ford that did good with cooled back. My f250 had a cooled butt but it worked about as good as someone blowing in a straw behind the seat and would take 30+min to feel cool.

Our MKZs DO have cooled backs Eddie... From the Lincoln website:

 

No matter the time of year, hot or cold, enjoy the comfort of heated and cooled front seats* each with three individual temperature settings. A thermal engine, operated independently of the car’s climate control system, heats or cools the air, then circulates it through the seat back and cushion.

• *Heated front seats standard; cooled front seats optional.

Ford does. Well, Lincoln anyway. Does that count? The Job2 Fusion will be cooled back as well.

I will admit the back is weak compared to the butt cushion. I do notice it cooling more when I get in when I am all sweaty. LOL

With the very high priced Fusion Hybrid I have on order and the pretty descent priced MKz Hybrid I have on the sheet (No Heated Steering Wheel/Rear Heated Seats/Premium Floor Mats/19" Wheels/Panaromic Roof) the payment same term at 60 months is only $54.23 more a month for the MkZ Hybrid..... :happy feet:

Any difference in like the leather quality in mKz vs fusion? Or similar things like that?

Leather vs the titanium is alot nicer. Also the comfort it alot better.

 

I cant say vs the SE luxury package. Havent seen one.

Yeah I'm comparing the titanium leather.... Any thing else that would be different or of higher quality not really mentioned in specs??

I didn't look that close at the titanium after they couldn't get me a white platinum one I decided to move on.. That's when I got lucky with my special order that the guy didn't take delivery

The deciding factor for me between the HyTi and the MKZ was the fact you can only get a Black leather interior in the HyTi, which I will not own. Not just because of the added heat factor here in north Texas, but the "sitting in a cave" feel I get when surrounded by all that black. I have never understood why manufacturers have the take-it-or-leave-it attitude on certain option packages. Besides, the leather in the Z is sooooo soft and comfy. :)

Really? Seems like if you can afford the $8k difference in price it's a no brainer. :) I'm with you though. I don't particular like black either but I will say that in the long run it does hold up better. Okay, I guess I miss-typed. I should have said that the black only interior was the deal killer. Price was not a factor in my decision on which to purchase. Options and looks won out with the MKZ. I agree light leather requires more work to keep nice, but if taken care of, light leather looks fantastic as it ages. :)

Ford announced today a recall for the MKZ Hybrid:

 

Separately, Ford said today that it is recalling 7,329 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid cars to reprogram the powertrain control module. It said a manufacturing error in a sensor could cause the module to incorrectly think the car is in neutral and allow the transmission to shift out of park without the brake pedal applied. This could cause the vehicle to move unexpectedly and violates government regulations regarding theft protection and rollaway prevention.

Ford said it is not aware of any accidents, injuries or thefts related to that issue. The recall covers 2013 and 2014 MKZ Hybrid cars built through Sept. 24.

 

They also announced two more recalls for the Escape with the 1.6 engine relating to fire dangers. If I hadn't gotten the Hybrid, my second choice would have been the 1.6 Fusion. So glad I got the FFH.
