Well I'll be, just learned something. I didnt know it would go all the way back, I thought it stopped there because thats all the room it had. Going to check this out when I get my car back!

I like the partial opening operation. It definitely cuts down on the buffeting, which is MUCH WORSE in the MKZ due to the fastback design.

Same here. I will need to check it out as well, when I get my car back. Man I hate not having it and driving a rental. Ugghh!

It's done for a reason - from the manual (page) 76.

 

"Opening and Closing the Moonroof
Touch (A) to open the moonroof. It will
stop short of the fully opened position.
Note: This position helps to reduce wind
noise or rumbling which may happen with
the moonroof fully open. Touch (A) again
to fully open the moonroof."

You noticed once you hit 60mph with the glass roof it closes that extra 25% on its own?

 

Id guess you have the full glass roof since I havent seen one without except in pictures.

???? I have the moonroof, not the panoramic thing, and it does not move on its own.

Yea, down here I didnt see any non panaramic ones when i got mine. Mine has that too. It pulls the big glass to around the point your fully open sunroof would do.
